BAM: Sneak Peeks, Post-wedding Adventure Shoot

If you've seen any of my posts throughout the forums, you'll know that our wedding day (like many others) did not go as planned. We ultimately got married in a private ceremony at a park near our home. However, this was such a blessing in disguise! If we hadn't had to change plans, we would have never done this fantastic shoot with our photographers.

October 24-27, after a month of being married, we took a trip up to Yosemite National Park with our incredible photographers for what they call a "day after" shoot (in quotations since it technically wasn't the next day). You guys... if this is even a remote possibility for you to do, DO IT!!! We got to spend hours going around the park, stopping where our photographer's had creative ideas and just enjoying ourselves. There was no timeline (other than beating the setting sun), no guests trying to get our attention; just the two of us and our amazing photographers. I wore my second dress, did my own hair and makeup, and had my husband dress in his wedding suit. Our photographers just sent us a link of sneak peeks and *astounded expletive*! They made us look like freaking models! I will NEVER have enough positive affirmations for our photographers. They honestly were the best decision we ever made in regards to the wedding, only to be closely followed by deciding to take this trip for a photo shoot. I don't even think I'm putting together coherent words because they've blown me away. Honestly. I'm just going to be over here, drooling and trying to figure out how many pictures is an acceptable amount to hang in my house.

Thank you! It was my gift to myself when we had to move to Plan C. It's actually a 2 piece set that I got from a sample sale at a salon near me! I lucked out that it fit me like a glove with only the straps needing slight shortening.

I don't even know which ones we'll decide to print...especially since these are just the sneak peeks! I'm definitely going to work with our photographers to decide on a wall design.

....Ok, how can you be up that high? I have to go up in high rises and I hate it so much. I'm impressed!

It actually wasn’t as bad as it looks! The area we were standing on was pretty wide and flat, so there was zero fear of going over the edge. My husband hates heights and he he was fine (though he did have a flask ready for after we finished those pictures 😂).

These are absolutely incredible. Things really do happen for a reason. So happy that you were able to do something like this. I love the idea and am definitely keeping that in mind for a one year anniversary.

You definitely should! I'm going to try to convince my husband to do a shoot on our anniversaries (or at least the big milestones).
