Bangs? Yay or nay?

I typically rock the Zooey Deschanel bangs. FH LOVES them. However, in the summer I let them grow out a little so I can pin them back so they don’t stick to my forehead when I’m sweaty outside. I do have a widow’s peak, which I sort of like- it reminds me of my late grandmother’s widow’s peak. And I do find it harder to find bridal styles that are brides with long hair and bangs online. I will be wearing my hair down, because I grew it out for the wedding! But I’m unsure if I should recut my bangs or keep growing them out for the wedding. Ladies with blunt bangs- what are you doing?

You look great in bangs! I was super worried about a wedding style with bangs but my hairdresser started playing and it looked great.

I had very blunt bangs for three years. Loved them but was in the same boat- want to wear my hair down but can’t find a style that I like. With a year to my wedding I decided to grow my bangs out so that I don’t have to worry about them. Afterwards, I may cut them again but we’ll see. I think you look great both ways so whatever is going to make you more comfortable!

I have a giant forehead that goes on for miles (thanks dad) so I wear bangs to cover that up a little. I will likely sweep them over to the side a bit but still keep them over my forehead a little. Haven't gone for my trial yet so I'm anxious to see what they think is best.

LOVE your bangs! I am having a similar struggle with what to do with my own bangs haha! If anything I might try to grow mine out a little this summer so I can still sweep them across my forehead so the humidity won't ruin the swept ones as much as a blunt bang look (which always happens in the summer). Bangs are a lot of work! haha

I say bangs! I think any girl that can rock bangs has an edge on all others - I don't have bangs but I think my friends that do are super sexy! Something about a girl with bangs that reminds me of Anastasia Steel from 50 shades!

I am definitely #TeamBangs! It's really the only way I can wear my hair with my host of forehead cowlicks. I've had bangs most of my life. Oh, well...

This is me, at my fitting, trying out my headpiece. You're right about the challenge of finding inspo pics, especially for half up/half down styles. I could only find a handful that I liked and I don't think any of them would work on my fine, thin hair without extensions. I'll probably end up wearing my hair kind of like it is here, only prettier (hopefully!) and poofier. Smiley smile
