Monique, on December 8, 2019 at 3:27 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 8
Need help on wether it’s better to rent bartender or have only beer served? I will be purchasing everything myself. Has anyone only had 2 type of beer only at reception

It all depends on what you can afford. Don't feel you need to get people lit in my opinion lol. I Jane been to weddings where it was just beer and wine. Bartenders cost more.

I don't drink beer, I like mixed drinks.

That being said, I don't have a problem with cash bar where I can just buy what I want.

I don’t drink beer, but if there’s wine I’ll take it!

We're supplying our own alcohol with no bartender and we're having 3 types of bottled beer and 1 white and 1 red wine.

I think if you're doing just beer or beer and wine i don't think you'd have to pay for a bartender. if you serve liquor i would suggest getting one - can't trust people to mix their own drinks lol

Check also what your venue allows. Mine allowed BYOB so I bought my own alcohol and put a couple bottles on every table

I'm only doing beer and wine. We will have a limited about of wine (just because wine is more expensive) and then we will have a lot of beer. Probably only 2-3 types of beer. Maybe bud light, coors light, and a craft beer.

Having no liquor is the quickest way to cut down on bar expenses.
