Barbados Sandals vs. St. Lucia Sandals

We are booking St. Lucia Sandals Grande (there are 3). We have heard amazing things from our friends who go to all-inclusive all the time. They said that resort is still their favorite. I have 2 other friends that went to Sandals St. Lucia La Toc and always loved it.

Honestly, I'm sure all Sandals are really nice!

I did not love Barbados. It's a very poor area and most of the buildings are rundown shacks. The ocean had a horrible undertow making it hard to even swim. If you just want to stay in the resort and swim in the pool it might be okay. The culture is neat and we did a tour of the Mt. Gay rum distillery which was neat. I've heard St. Lucia is incredible.

Two things to think about in that area. Hurricane damage and Zika. That said, I prefer St. Lucia, but I've never stayed at a Sandals there.

Didn't the storms hit those places?

I would find out about hurricane damage to the islands

St Lucia is about to get hit by at least one hurricane, I'd want to make sure things were okay there before booking! Also, both locations have Zika, so you'd have to wait six months after returning to conceive.

There is awesome the only one was sandals resort in Barbados whereas there's three in St. Lucia. You Get to see some of the island when you take the free shuttle from resort to resort.
