Bare-faced Brides

I’ll be wearing minimal makeup! I don’t like makeup, my fiancé prefers how I look makeup-free, and I only wear it in my normal life for very special occasions just to feel a little “fancier” and cover some skin imperfections. When I do wear makeup, I like it very natural and subtle, so that’s the route I’ll be going on my day!

As a side note: I don’t buy into the idea that women have to wear makeup to avoid looking washed out in photos. Men don’t wear makeup and they look perfectly fine in professional photography. No matter what amount of makeup you wear in a photo, a skilled photographer will ensure that you look amazing!

I know this is an old thread but I 100% agree. Women should be able to marry makeup free without being looked down upon.

I’d know I’d want my wife to go bare-faced for my wedding, as she looks more attractive to me that way, and I’d want to make sure we look as attractive to each other as possible. I have autism, so pay close attention to small details, and will definitely be able to tell even if she has minimal makeup on; think it will make me slightly uncomfortable.
