Bartender for our wedding..too expensive ?

April, on January 5, 2021 at 11:57 PM Posted in Planning 0 23
We're having 120 people (possibly 100) and serving wine liquor and regular drinks. A bartender I was inquiring about sent over his quote and it was $350 for the nighy.

He brings ice, cups, and 2 large coolers. Is that to steep of a price or is that a good price? Bartender for our wedding..too expensive ? 1

That is a steal. Grab them right away. You have to have a bartender in charge of dispensing drinks or you will be held liable for any disasters.

Our venue is providing the bartenders, so I’m not positive what that charge is. However, $350 for the entire evening sounds like an amazing price!

If he is providing cups and ice, that is low, and you should expect to tip $50-100.

That's an incredible steal. The cheapest I have found for a bartender in my area for 5 hours is $750.

Very cheap. Most of the bar services I looked at charge per person.

It sounds like a really good price! Our venue provides bartenders so I'm not sure of what the normal cost is, but I would definitely pay $350!

That’s about what i paid mine and she didn’t bring anything. And she was horrible. My biggest regret of the wedding.
Is this bartender through a company/service or did you just find someone who can bartend? Using a company will probably provide more dependable service than just using someone you found. (This is my personal experience, and something to keep in mind). If it’s just a person you found can they provide references?

That is a great price!! Be sure to check reviews before booking, but if everything looks great, I think that is more than reasonable!

Oh wow... $350 is nothing for a bartender who’s working all night and bringing supplies. I’m paying $350 for one vendor (entertainer) to be there for 1 hour, during cocktail hour.

I don't really know if it is or isn't a steal but maybe if you already have those things, you can ask if he can lower the price too

$350 is a great price! We are doing an open bar for 100 and the cost is $1000 to upgrade from the included package of beer and wine only.
