I am so so glad my mom talked me into having a shower. It was so wonderful and special. My church wanted to throw me one, but I felt weird about it since I'm having a small wedding. My wonderful hosts decided to call it a housewarming shower instead since we closed on our house 2 weeks ago. It was so nice and we got a lot of things we really needed. Our new house came with 10 acres, so we have spent most of our time working on the land. It will be nice to come back inside to all these nice things now.
Side note: Instead of having me unwrap each gift, the gifts were delivered earlier and my hosts unwrapped them and displayed them on the tables. This left more time to just visit and have a good time without the awkwardness of opening every single gift. It worked well.
