Bathroom Basket Signs

CareBear, on December 31, 2015 at 3:28 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 14

I finished my wording for my bathroom baskets and the translation to Spanish. Since my wedding will be both English and Spanish speaking I have a tough task of trying to translate everything to Spanish (which I don't speak myself).

I added the pic of the wording so you all can see it.

A little bit of everything. Band aides, super glue, mints, Advil and Tylenol, tissue, floss, hairspray, shout wipes, hair ties, bobby pins, brush, comb, lint roller, baby powder, spray deodorant, baby wipes, q-tips, tampons, panty liners, pads, lubricating drops, gum, safety pens, small sewing kit, nail file, lotion, sticky note, pens, tums, rolaids.

I started just gathering stuff along time ago so it didnt cost very much, just a dollar here and there.

A lot of my FH family is from Mexico and speak no english. I felt that it would be rude of me to not translate all the signs so everyone can understand them.

That's a really great idea. I opted to not do bathroom baskets at like the last second. I realized that other events were going on in my venue (not weddings, I think they had a 50th reunion or something), and the bathrooms were not strictly for just my guests.

Mine will be in a hall that only has one room and one venue per night. So no problem with others guest using the products. I think I would have opted out of the baskets too FinallyMrsLepelis.

Hi carebear! This is very sweet of you. You might want to look over your Spanish for grammar. You started addressing your guests in plural and finish in singular. But, It's a really cute idea

I'm pretty sure it should say estén (but, I've never been the best with accent marks) if you're going to use estén in the first line, you should use tomen and necesiten in the last line.

I had a couple people help me with the translation. I can fix those and reprint them. I bought a couple extra papers incase of mistakes

Nice! Some of FH's family speaks no English either, we are having lots of Spanglish throughout!
