Bathroom Baskets Pics

Kristen, on June 5, 2012 at 2:38 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 1 19

These really aren't very exciting, but what the heck, I want to show you ladies anyway! Here are my bathroom "baskets" and women's and men's signs (that I haven't printed yet for fear of them getting dirty if I print too early). I spray painted the trays gold, but you can't really tell in the pic. I figured I'd throw some of the Wedding Turtle cards in the bathrooms as well, why not?!

Ok, now let's see, in both I have:

    Spray deodorant

    Men's and women's body spray/mist

    cough drops

    lint roller

    band aids

    glasses lens cleaning wipes

    spray first aid disinfectant

    eye drops

    contact lens re-wetting drops

    ibuprofen

    floss

    safety pins

    pepto bismal

    tissues

    combs

    listerine strips

    tide to go pens

    tums

    breath mints

    glade candles

Then in only the men's I also have shoe shine wipes and pre-threaded needles for if a button falls off

And in ladies only, I also have clear nail polish, static guard, hair spray, bobby pins, hair elastics, nail files, a full sewing kit, tampons and liners, hand lotion and nail polish remover.

    Did I miss anything?

Thanks ladies! STB MRS. M, I decided to do them because I cannot tell you how many times the spray deodorant has saved me at an event (which makes me sound gross, but really I am just an enthusiastic dancer!). If I can help even one girl not feel like a stinky mess at my wedding, I consider it all worth it!! : D

They look great! What a thoughtful idea. I was thinking about this too but was concerned about adding it to the budget. If you do not mind me asking, how much did it come to?

@Amber, it wasn't cheap, but you could probably skimp a bit here and there to make it less expensive. Like, you probably don't need eye drops AND contact drops — I went a little crazy there. I'm going to guess that the sewing kits won't get any use, and we probably don't need the cough drops either. Oh well!

I spent $73 on all of the amenities, mostly at Target. I had received a gift card to Target that actually covered that cost, so that helped us big time.

@Sara I got the trays at JoAnn Fabrics. They were unfinished wood, and I think they cost around $5 each. I bought gold spray paint at Home Depot, and that costs around $8 (paint and primer in one for unfinished wood). I'm also using the paint on our table numbers though, so that's a shared cost.

Nice! @Amber- try Dollar Tree- they have great products like (some of) these for a $1 each. You may be able to create something similar for half the price.

I started mine but still have more to add... I actually picked up some baskets at a yard sale last weekend (around .25c each!) and started picking up things at walmart/dollar tree in the travel section! Mostly the same items, but w/o the eye care and candle.

    VERY cute!! You did great!

    Great job!!!

I bought most of my stuff at dollar tree. I still need to buy Axe for men and a ladies body spray. I didn't put as much into my baskets, only because I had already prepared my MOH and his BM with many of these supplies in their survival giftbags.

Speaking from experience I would recommend including allergy meds. I had the worst reaction right before the ceremony as a bridesmaid, and no one had anything to help me out. I had to ask FH to run to the corner store to grab some really quick.
