Bathroom Baskets

Porterpoppin, on February 16, 2019 at 10:41 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 1 59
Might just be a minor detail but something I scrolled over to on Pinterest. I’m wondering if you guys are doing bathroom baskets? I haven’t been to a bathroom that has them but thinking it might be a nice touch? Or unnecessary? What would you put in yours?

I saw something like this on Pinterest too but not in real life. I want to make them but FH says the guys won't care. So maybe just one for the ladies? Haha Idk yet. I'm thinking band aids, tissue, makeup remover wipes, lotion, q tips, floss, mouth wash, pain reliever, feminine products...
    What are you thinking?

I've been to parties with bathroom baskets but never a wedding... Not sure why is that. I wouldn't leave a basket with medications in the bathroom, unattended, though. I don't think it's needed, it's a nice touch for sure! If you decide to go with it, I'd refrain from putting medications. There are too many things to consider when putting medications out there (i.e. alcohol + acetaminophen can cause liver failure; NSAIDs can cause an allergic reaction in people allergic to aspirin, etc.) I'd refrain from putting meds, the rest is just a nice and thoughtful thing to do.

Lol see we’re thinking the same. FH says he doesn’t think the guys would need them either but I’d still probably put bandaids, gum/mints, Tylenol and maybe tums for the guys. I’d do the same for the ladies but add pads, tampons, spray deodorant, lotions, and floss is a good idea!

These would be such a nice touch to me it just brings it to a whole new level and it’s so sweet for the guests. Simpler things for the men’s since they usually don’t care lol! I agree with pp about the meds, never know what could happen plus children, if you’re having them, could get into it.
I would be impressed and appreciative if I saw a cute basket like this with something I needed 😊😊

Oh man, if it’s fun for you go for it, but it seems to me like just one more thing to worry about. And I agree that there are a lot of potential concerns with including medications.

I’m planning on making one! I think it’s a nice gesture. I’m planning on including hair spray, Bobby pins, safety pins, floss picks, shout stain remover wipes, mints/gum, lotion, spray deodorant, hair ties, oil absorbing sheets (for face), maybe a body spray, and possibly some tums.

That’s a great idea! We have lots of out of town guests and will be renting out a mansion so that would be a nice personal touch for each of the rooms.

Love this idea, I feel like everytime I'm out someone asks for these items and for a wedding many women might not bring their huge purses with all these items ( who wants to drag along your big purse when you dance or are getting food and drinks??) So this would be super helpful!
