Batman Bride

Krisi, on January 10, 2013 at 9:07 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 15

Hello, I'm Krisi, I'm new to this site and yes, I'm planning on being a Batman bride. Before some of the traditionalists out there start screaming, I am going slightly traditional with Batman accents. Thanks to ETSY, my shoes are hand painted flats with the Batman logo, and I found nail decals of the Batman symbol. (Each of my maids will be getting shoes hand painted with different DC superheros)

I am trying to think of other little ways to add the Batman into the wedding. We're planning the wedding for June 2014 - so I'm starting early enough to get some DIY projects in.

Anyone have some ideas for little hero touches? Thank you everyone Smiley smile

I would think the cake would be a good place to get a touch of super hero as would the garters. Not really sure how far you want to go...

The shoes sound cool...you'll have to post pics when you get them!

Oh! I have an idea! I'm not into super heroes or comics or anything though so sorry if this idea sucks....

Lots of people have monogram lights on the dance floor or wall. I'll attach some pics since I suck at describing things. You could do the batman symbol instead though!! What do you think?

Um I love Batman and your shoes sound amazing! The cake was going to be my suggestion too, although now thanks to Danielle I really want a bat signal!

No screaming here, though I'm more of a Superman girl myself. Smiley smile You said you have Pinterest, so I'm sure you've seen this, but I think it's an awesome way to do Batman without it being campy!

I absolutely love the batman theme. We tossed the idea of a comic book theme wedding but decided to not focus on a theme as much as a feel. If you are into the old "pow, bam, punch" comic book days check these ( http://www.etsy.com/listing/84381416/pow-hair-clip-comic-book-hair-barrette?ref=pr_faveshops ) out on etsy (love that place). And of course they have tons of things like batman garters, bow ties, cuff links, and etc. Looking forward to seeing more of your wedding.

Your wedding sounds like it will be fun. I'm one of the traditionalist types when it comes to things for MYSELF, but I love seeing what other people come up with. Yours will be planning to watch. I hope you post lots of pictures.

    Welcome!

Wow! Thank you to everyone for your input! I have since located a Batman garter (ETSY is amazing!) It's getting custom made, so I'll have to post a picture when I get it!

These are my shoes; the artist is going to be adding on rhinestones (For Free!!!) because I'm going to be ordering 5 other pairs of hero shoes from her.

I'm also adding in pictures of my nail art and my older sister and MOH, who told me she wanted to be my Robin for the day Smiley smile

Uh, where did you get the shoes? You cannot post things like that without giving details, girl! I want a Superman pair for myself ASAP!

This artist is "on vacation" right now - so I'm not sure how long it would take to be able to get them, but if you type Superman shoes into ETYS I'm sure something would come up! One of my girls is going to have Superman shoes. You can also find Superman cufflinks (somewhere) on ETSY Smiley smile

And Alex - it isn't too late for you to adopt some Dark Knight!!
