We are going to be registering at Bed, Bath & Beyond this coming Saturday, and I was just curious about others experiences. I have registered for my babies before and remember a store associate following me around telling me everything I "needed", which was basically a whole bunch of stuff I really didn't need at all.

When I made my appointment to register at a bridal expo I was at, they told me the consultation would be about an hour and a half long. I was hoping I'd go to the desk, they'd set our registry up for us, give us a gun, and we'd be off (maybe 5-10 minutes?). Do they mean the whole experience will be an hour and a half total? From the time we walk in to the time we walk out?

We have lived together for about a year and half now and are very much established in our townhouse. Most things will be upgrades, so I really don't need to be coached on what to register for, and am really hoping someone doesn't follow me around the store doing just that. Please, share your experiences with me so I know what to expect Smiley smile

They didn’t follow us bc I wouldn’t allow them to. I know what I want and so does FH. Don’t need someone telling us what we need.

We are in the same situation as you guys as we already have a house established. We did register at BB&B and they did send an associate around with us but it wasn't as annoying as you would think. She was very helpful with guiding us to items we knew we wanted to register for but didn't know where they were located and was great at suggesting things we did not think about. We did spend about an hr to an hr and a half there as they verify all your info before you go scanning them at the end they print out registry cards for you to include in invitations. Have fun!

I did it in the store and the lady walked us around pointing out certain sections and then just let us walk around by ourselves with the gun. I'd say the whole thing including us walking around by ourselves took about an hour. We are in the same situation with having most of the stuff we needed already. We are also getting ready to downsize for a while so we don't really need anything because we won't really be able to get much use out of it.
