BBG??

Stephanie , on September 22, 2017 at 8:00 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 14

Hey ya'll! Soo I'm looking for a good workout regimen, mostly to be healthy, but not gonna lie, I definitely have noticed an increase in body fat in the past year or so. I was wondering if any of you have tried the Kayla Itsines BBG?? If so, how was your experience? Also, I can't afford both the nutrition and the workout book so which one do you think if more influential/life style changing?

I've also considered beachbody on demand, but that depends on if my dearest betrothed wants to split the cost with me.

I'm just looking for something that offers a little bit of guidance/routine

I second Beachbody. I've done several of their programs, but the 21 day Fix was my fave. I go back to it often.

Hi! I did the Kayla workouts pt 1&2. Honestly you can probably find the guides online for free. I think the food one helped but I had to get the vegetarian one bc I split it with a friend. I learned the concept of eating healthy but you can google that. I'd say if you want to buy, buy the workouts. They're fantastic it's 28 minutes so it's easy to mentally motivate yourself. I did them in my dorm room at the time. I was 145lbs 5'9. I lost 15lbs and gained a ton of muscle. It helped me form my own healthy lifestyle for the past 4 years (since I started). It gets you into the habit. I highly recommend it. I loved it so much

Second running; can do it year round, costs nothing but clothing, can be very social (find a group), and a great workout

I LOVE love love BBG! Nothing changed my body composition until BBG. I ran, I spun, I worked out all the time, but only BBG gave me the tone to my arms and midsection that I wanted. It's really hard in that it takes a lot of self discipline and is very easy to half-a$$, but if you commit to it and do it right, it's really excellent. You should also be aware that its body-weight plyometric based - meaning if you have bad joints, it's not going to be a good fit.

I'm on Week 3 of BBG right now. I already feel the improvement. I love it. I highly recommend. I have the H.E.L.P. Guide and the 12 week BBG 1.... I'll be honest. The nutrition guide I've looked at once. I've been sticking to the workouts, but just eating healthy. I wouldn't recommend the nutrition guide, just look into meal prepping or quick healthy meals. I would definitely recommend BBG though. It's so well laid out with instructions on every single thing. She also gives alternatives if you can't afford to buy weights, jump rope, etc. She's amazing and the guide is amazing!

If you have anymore questions I'll check back in Smiley smile

Awesome thanks guys! I've done the core de force workout form beachbody and liked it (plus I have a friend that SWEARS by it) but didn't really notice even the slightest difference after 4 weeks (eating right included). BBG seemed like a strong contender for noticeable results. Haha I'm so glad someone was able to answer me about the nutrition vs. workout guide!

I'll ponder a little bit and try to make a decision soon and let anyone else wondering about it know what I think!

Okay SO BBG by kayla itsines is intense! But it's so good. I haven't had the power to stick with it, but I'm doing crossfit and some of the workouts are similar (at least Monday was, it was my first week!)

You can actually buy the books on eBay for BBG which my friend did. I don't think the nutritional one is worth it, after going through hers. If you eat healthy you don't need it.

I also recommend crossfit, my biggest thing is It's hard to motivate myself and hold myself accountable. I don't like going to the gym and doing mindless cardio. I feel stronger and I've only been doing it for a week! I used to do crossfit in college, and it's so much fun trying to beat your time and what not. Reminds me of high school a lot because I ran track and cross country, so always trying to beat my time is what I find so fun!!

I pay for the SWEAT app by Kayla and it is AMAZING!! Super tough workouts that really change your body composition and they get progressively harder. I do that and Tracy Anderson.

I'm on week 2! It's hard and I haven't lost any weight just yet (I'm the type of person that with cardio alone, weight falls off). So I'm a little discouraged but trying to stick with it. I don't follow the meal plan strictly, but I do track calories and eat pretty healthy already.

Don't get the nutritional one. The meals are healthy but buying all of the ingredients is expensive. You can find ways to eat healthy if you look online.

I follow Lauren Gleisberg who does challenges often! I also love insanity max 30, but do not have beach body on demand.
