BBG?

Liz, on October 16, 2016 at 10:52 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 8

Does anyone here have any experience with Kayla Itsines BBG program?

Any thoughts, recommendations for completing the program, etc?

Thanks! Buying a wedding dress in 3 months and want to slim down a bit before hand so that I don't make any huge changes after buying the dress.

I have her app. (It's $20 a month, which is cheaper than i can get a gym membership!) I love it. But if you haven't been working out, make sure you start off slow! You will be so sore you can't walk! At least that's how it was for me!

    Thanks Genny!!

Ive been running for a while now, but that gets to be hard on your legs (had a stress reaction over the summer and had to stop for abut 2 months) so I'm looking for something thats a little more balanced.

I've done Blogilates's PIIT28, which is basically the same thing as BBG (but a little cheaper). I had a lot of success with it (lost 15 lbs in 2 months). It's hard to follow 100% after a couple months, but I do still do the workouts to supplement other fitness activities.

I LOVE BBG!! I've always been a fitness fan, but I swear nothing got me real results like BBG. It will kick your butt, and you have to stick with it, but she only asks for 28 minutes of your day. I find that its much easier to motivate myself for 7 minute stretches than for a full 30 minutes or 60 minutes at a time. I gained - I think - three pounds, but lost two dress sizes and a ton of inches. For the first time (after trying everything under the sun), I had baby abs and muscles in my arms. Totally worth it!

I did BBG for about a year and loved it! It really kickstarted my motivation to get fit. I have recently switched to weight lifting but only because I was getting bored not because there was anything wrong with her program. I highly recommend 3 things:

    1) Do the pretraining work outs regardless of your prior workout regimen. Unless you've been doing other high intensity workouts you'll be sore after just the pretraining.

    2) Get supportive shoes if you don't have them. Because her workouts are plyometrics based there can be a lot of stress on your knees that good shoes will help alleviate. Another thing to alleviate the stress is a focus on good form rather than getting through the exercises quickly.

    3) If you're on Instagram, start a fitness account and follow some other girls doing the program. The community is extremely supportive and is one of the best features of BBG.

    Good luck!

I'm a certified Personal trainer and I love love love it.

The way it works is it puts your body in an "Orange Zone" for the workout, which keeps your body burning fat for the whole day.

It's an at home, DIY Orange Theory. 100% worth it. Even as a Personal Trainer, i do her programs really helps me cut off extra chub when i need the kick in the booty.

I've done BBG just for a few weeks and it's a workout. I might do it again after I'm done with Country Heat!

But I agree with @Jennifer - start a fitness account on instagram!! you really get a lot of support on there!! Mine is @backtoash if you want to follow it.
