beach theme favors - something that won't melt

Anonymous, on July 24, 2011 at 8:39 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 13

I am looking for suggestions on candies for my favor boxes (beach themed wedding) that aren't chocolate, as I fear they will melt. I have thought of jordan almonds or jelly beans, but would prefer sea shells or something along the beachy theme....

Any ideas are greatly appreciated! Thanks, Jillian

I had a similar issue and posted a few weeks ago. I hope this helps. We decided to go with the sea glass candy in our glass jars. My Mom and I had a lot of fun making sample batches and have decided on Coconut, Tropical Punch and Watermelon.

If you want actual candy, maybe taffy? gumballs? fish gummies? lollipops? or beach themed cookies? I know the heat will do some damage to some of those... but maybe not so much as chocolate, ya know?

@Jamie T, those are so cute. I think the Jelly Beans will get sticky. Rock candy maybe an option.

I don't have any candy suggestions but I saw beach theme and I immediately thought our our new beach theme wedding napkin rings! I don't know if it is something you are interested in or not but check the link out if you are!

I know a couple of different couples that have let their guests take home napkin rings as a favor too.

These candle holders would be lovely! I think they'd look great with a beach theme, although I wouldn't really CALL them beach themed.. know what I mean?

I'm making solid candy that looks like sea glass:

(because of the powdered sugar it won't stick together!)

See if you can find a local place that makes custom cookies. You can get some cookies in the shape of seashells & starfish that can be done in your wedding colors, maybe even put your name & wedding date on them! If you were in Florida I would have quite a few names for you!
