Beach towel wedding favors...

meganmelody, on April 6, 2017 at 1:02 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 8

I'm currently planning for my beach wedding this summer =) I ordered beach towels with tote bags as favors, and had some of them embroidered for bridesmaids and relatives. fwiw, i got everything from here and I'm really happy with how they turned out:

My sister suggested that I get something else to put in the tote bag along with the beach towel. But my mom and I disagree- I think it's annoying to have more things to carry around. What do you guys think? What if I added flip flops? Or maybe snacks or something?

Snacks would be great! Assuming this is a DW and people will be flying, I agree with keeping the gifts small or edible. We will be giving gift cards and hand written notes bc of traveling.

You can never go wrong (or have enough) Old Navy flip flops!

I'm having a beach wedding and planning on having totes with beach towels as well. I am also going to make homemade sunscreen and chapstick to add to the bags. Gift cards are a great idea too!

Your guests know that they are coming to a beach wedding. They know how to pack for same. They will bring their own sunscreen and sandals. The towels will be welcome because most travelers expect to use one supplied by the resort or hotel. They may however be a challenge to fit in their suitcases to take them home.

For anyone considering beach towel favors, turkish towels are very absorbent, but take up much less room

Don't add stuff simply to add stuff.

I’m getting married on the island of Vieques, Puerto Rico in less than a month! It is very important to me that everything in my party favor bags will actually be useful. So, I thought I’d share the unique things I’ve found!

-These sunglasses are awesome! I’m only putting these in the gift bags for my bridesmaids, MOH, flower girls, MOB, and a few other peeps. I like that they have little bride tribe saying on the side of the arms, but it’s not too loud, so guests can definitely wear them again afterwards. I was hesitant to buy them at first since they didn’t have any reviews, but it was worth the risk, and they are super cute and well made for the price!

Dollar Tree had the best deal on sunscreens. I wanted to make sure the guests have enough sunscreen for the 5 days of events. These are only $1 for 3oz!

We’re also going to include a local mango or coconut juice and a mini bottle of rum in each bag to add some island flair and start the party!
