Beach wedding brides! Sandy feet?

Mina, on May 2, 2014 at 5:59 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 13

Those having their ceremony on the beach, are you/did you wear shoes? Sandals? Heels? Flats? Barefeet? Barefoot sandals (the ankle-toe jewelry thing)?

What are your BMs wearing on their feet?

Im going to be barefoot. I will put my heels on for the reception. I thought about barefoot sandals but it seemed pointless cause my dress will cover it.

I wore shoes at the ceremony (on the gazebo) but took them off - I'm barefoot in all the wedding pictures we took on the sand.

My brides have been barefooted, in barefoot sandals, in flip-flops, sandals, wedges, flats. Heels don't work well at all.

All my beach pictures were barefoot, the girls wore their shoes by choice and hated it

I grew up a beach bum and always thought watching people trudge through the sand in flip flops, sandals ANY shoe, really, was always too funny. It's just weird and unnatural. Not to mention uncomfortable. We're both going barefoot, as I assume our guests will as well. We'll throw on flip flops and sandals for the pool deck reception though (maybe if we feel like it)!

My stepmother made barefoot sandals for my sister and I for their wedding. We got a really cute shot of our feet with hers.

If you do these, ballet flats are easy to slip on and off once you get off the beach and want to keep the barefoot sandals on.

No shoes. Keep a basket of wide paintbrushes at the exit so guests can brush their toes off before they put their shoes on.

I have wedges but i also have a bamboo aisle runner so i won't really be walking in the sand only for pictures and i can take them off for that if needed

I'm planning on either being barefoot or doing the toe/anklet thing for the ceremony and then wearing flip flops or flats to the reception.
