Beach wedding - swimming?

I've been to a destination wedding that was held on a beach and no one went swimming during the ceremony/reception time. It was a nice wedding but it was very hot with little to no shade during the ceremony which was a bit difficult to deal with.

My sister had a destination wedding in Mexico on a beach and everyone was there for either a full week or a long weekend... so there was swimming even the day of the wedding. But, a few hours before the wedding everyone went their separate ways to clean up. I believe her ceremony was at 5pm-ish and then the ceremony was following that. We partied well into the night. So, there was plenty of time in the morning for swimming.

I have never been to a beach wedding, but the last time I had a wedding party, they had an indoor swimming pool. The swimming pool builders did a great job with this artistic pool. At the end of my friends’ party, they jumped into the pool and I joined them too. We all had a great time! That was my best swimming experience, and it was fantastic.

I went to a beautiful destination wedding in Puerto Rico, during the wedding itself nobody went swimming but the rest of the weekend people were hanging out at the beach and the hotel pool. It was a fun but pricey weekend!
