Beauty and the beast theme on a budget

I always dreamed of a Disney wedding, but like many of us, I can't afford one. Has anyone done a beauty and the beast theme wedding? If so, any tips or pictures to help me out. I would greatly appreciate it.

Weddings don't need themes! Just get some nice, simple decor in complementary colors and call it a day.

Why did you even click on this forum then??? Clearly they want a theme. Live and let live. Wrong place to voice this opinion.

You can't tell people when and where to post.. That's against CGs..... It's a public forum, anyone can comment on anything... I agree with her, weddings don't need themes... Some take the theme way too far and it overruns the wedding.

I'm making my wedding look like a wedding not a party thing. I said theme because isn't that what you call it, the colors and the idea of something. I want it be my inspiration, the roses and such. Thank you Sabrina. I'm taking all of your opinions and not making it over the top like I planed in my head. Just wanted some advice. Thank you

I wish FH would let me have a Disney wedding! I am a fanatic! But, he is less than enthralled. I am planning on sneaking in little references here and there. I think the best theming you can do that would be relatively cheap based on how you do it is centerpieces. Maybe get good quality "faux" roses put some clear fishing wire around the base, find a way to attach the fishing wire to an upside down vase then put rose petals around it. That'd be so cute! I am sure someone has done it! I will find pictures. You could also have candelabras spread around your venue. Guest cards for seating arrangements would also be an easy one as well (in theory). I would just be sure to not make it OBVIOUSLY Disney. Subtle things are your friend.

I like how this is very subtle hinting at the beauty and the beast theme with the roses and the book underneath. But if someone saw it and didn't think about it too much it wouldn't be obvious.

That’s not subtle to anyone that knows beauty and the beast (which personally would be my entire guest list). My best friend is a Disney fanatic, annual passes (we both have them), goes to Disney monthly, going to Disney Paris for her anniversary...she actually said to not make it Disney themed, because it’s not for a wedding. Some themes get over played or over done. It’s really easy to do, I’ve seen some go over the top.

I’m 32, and As much as I adore beauty and the beast (which is a lot, and slowly dwindling 😖), i don’t want my wedding surrounded by it. I don’t want my wedding to remind someone of a Disney movie. It’s a formal event.

DIY will be your best friend!
And I would get a lot of things from the dollar store or second hand consignment stores. Even reaching out to friends and family if they have items in their storage that can work (old candelabras, vintage teacups, candles, etc).

I hope this link works - it's one I'd my wedding boards on Pinterest called Enchanted. It's all Beauty and the Beast themed.

If the link doesnt work, just search on Pinterest for "Enchanted" board. My username is "avamber07".

I hope everything works out for you!
