Hello Friends,

Did you have any special beauty leading up to the wedding? I've seen some people starting a whole routine the year or months before. When did you get your mani/pedi for the day of?

I started mine a month before where every week I was doing a Korean sheet mask. And it’s also around the time I started my teeth whitening strips

I didn't do anything extra. I don't have much of a routine either lol. I got my highlights redone about 2 weeks before the wedding (my hairdresser wanted the extra time just in case something was off so there was time to fix it, even though it was the same hairdresser I've had for years). I got my mani/pedi 2 days before the wedding because my nail person didn't have any availability the day before. I did gel for my fingers which lasts forever.

I don’t have a routine and probably won’t. I’m lucky that my skin has always been really good and even at 43 it’s still good (I contribute the lack of lines to disgustingly oily skin). The last time I got a facial in February, the esthetician recommended doing a facial about a month before the wedding for clearing up any blemishes that may crop up and then a moisturizing facial about a week before just to get the skin glowing. So that’s pretty much my plan.

I’m getting facials once a month & have been for a year. I’m going to start getting pedicures once a month. We live in northern AZ & it gets cold & snowy which dries out everything. I don’t want my feet to be dried & cracked in April when we get married. I’m starting to get highlights in my hair & will be every 2 months so I don’t fry my hair right before the wedding.

I did! As an older bride (mid 40’s) I added a few extras beyond pampering. I think this was my timeline:

    8 months: eye filler
6 months: Botox 2-3 months: facial8-9 months before, 3 weeks before: face sugaring 2 weeks: hair extensions
I’ve never had eye filler or Botox. Although they helped with wrinkles and deep eye circles, I panicked over the weird feeling! Yuck.
Full face sugaring was great (with lip waxing), but I’m sooo glad I did it twice. One wayyy before the wedding to see if my skin reacted: it did get red and slightly bumpy the 1st time for about a week. That’s how I figured out timing for the 2nd time.

I haven’t started a new routine I would say, the wedding is in November, but I’ve def. cut out sugars/breads a month before to help keep any blemishes from popping up. I started whitening my teeth as well (month before). I keep gel on my fingernails year round, but I’m doing a pedicure with my bridesmaids a week before the wedding. I have an appointment to get my roots touched up a week before as well.

I kept my normal daily routine, you don’t want to try anything new on your skin too soon before your wedding. I did mani/pedi, highlights, spray tan all the Wednesday before Saturday wedding.

I got monthly facials for about a year leading up to my wedding with the last one 3 weeks before. I got my hair cut and highlighted 3 weeks before. I did my mani/pedi the day before with my bridesmaids (before the rehearsal).
