Beauty School

Kathleen, on August 12, 2019 at 11:12 AM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 15
I am fortunate to have a nationally known, and top rated beauty school in my town. I have gone to them before and their service is excellant. Any thoughts on using them for my wedding hair/makeup/nails?

If you like your trial, I think you're fine as long as you can use the same student/teacher for the day of your wedding.

I’ve always had amazing experiences at beauty schools - they WANT to do good for a grade and have supervising professionals who will take over before things go awry if need be. And their prices are usually at least 1/2 as expensive as regular salons. I say do it! I was considering going to the aveda beauty school for my wedding facial as it’s about 1/10 of the cost as it would be from a pro.

This is a realy great alternative, especially if you find someone who's really good at makeup! I've had several friends go to a beauty school near my town for their wedding makeup, mainly because the person they all went too was just that good!

Have you ever gone before official hours to have your hair done at the beauty school? My wedding will probably be early afternoon, and I don't want to sit in a beauty chair for a long time

Hmmm I can’t say that I have, I did go once late at night - I would call them! Maybe someone would be willing to go in early for the credit of doing bridal hair Smiley smile

    Make sure it
    a) is in your budget
    b) will work with your wedding-day timeline
And c) make sure you like the trial!

Do you think a beauty school would be more expensive?
