Beer: Cans or Bottles

Emily, on September 13, 2020 at 4:18 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 13

We're doing just beer and wine for our reception. What is better for beer: cans or bottles?

We are doing bottles. I think they have a more classy look to them. Beer cans give me a backyard party vibe.

Depends on the vibe you're going for. Cans are more casual while bottles are a step up from casual.

We did bottles. Like others said they’re a bit more classy.

I would also ask your venue to see if they have a glass restriction. Most don’t, but I know mine does because there is an outdoor space and they don’t want broken glass

I’ll add a plug for making sure you do include some good craft beer options - most of which are only available in cans - because where I live it would not be well received by guests to only have Coors and Bud Light type options available. We are a craft beer Mecca!

Bottles. They're more elegant and offer a wider variety of choices.

    Glasses > bottles > cans

Formal > semi formal > casual
Also type of beer is more formal craft house vs miller bud is casual

We had our bartenders pour beer into glasses. I did not want people holding beer bottles and cans in my wedding photos. So if you do beer glasses, you can buy either.

We used canned beer, but we had a more casual wedding. They are SO MUCH cheaper!

    Cans.

Bottles are marginally "classier" but they break lol.

Maybe get black wedding coozies! (Or whatever you want on them) so everyone matches.. just throwing out ideas Smiley smile
