Belt Help!

CourtneyBrittain, on June 5, 2019 at 3:22 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 16
Help! I fell in love with the belt at David’s Bridal but can’t justify spending $100 on it, especially since the dress was under $500! Anyone know where I could find something really similar? It is silver with rhinestones and is about an inch thick. I’d prefer if it either has removable ribbon to tie (so I can be positive the ribbon matches) or else it would have to be the exact ivory/translucent.

I’d prefer to pay less than $50 for a belt

Yeah, it looks like Amazon has a few for around $20. I just googled, 'Rhinestone Wedding Dress Belt'

Definitely Etsy or Amazon... I have bought tons of wedding stuff from both sites and been very pleased! Just make sure you check reviews on both sites before purchasing.

They have some really good ones on Etsy. My MOH wanted one for her dress, so she'd stand out, and we couldn't justify spending $100 either. We found a really nice one for $30 on Etsy.

Check Hobby Lobby. They had both ready made belts with ribbon ties and a wide range of trims that you can purchase and make into a belt yourself. They always have a 40% off coupon that can be downloaded.

Yeah, in the notions dept of the sewing section they have a display of "ready made" wedding embellishments/belts/etc., then tons of different trims you can purchase by the yard to make your own.

I would check Etsy and Facebook marketplace. So many people sell theirs after their wedding or decide they don’t like them and can’t return them.

I got all my trim on aliexpress and eBay for belts. Super cheap. I’m sure there’s something similar there and you can diy or attach directly to your dress without ribbon.
