Anything that's general and not specific Smiley smile more than just what I mentioned, like what you see on Pinterest and are like yeah that's awesome.

What are the best and worst gifts you've received? I'm sort of info nicer things and I want to get multiple things. Let's say money isn't an object...(yeah right, I wish)

I got my bridesmaids minimergency kits by pinch. They're on the sephora website and they're only $16 and different designs! I also added some unique things to personalize them a bit

Have to say I love my tote from a recent wedding party, use it all the time (groceries and such).

Best gifts: tote bags, perfume, travel bag

    Worst: gift cards (very impersonal)

I'm making all my girls "pumpkin pedicure jars." Basically, different pumpkin scented pedicure products that are DIY, and I'm gonna combine them all up in a mason jar, with other pedicure related things. My wedding is fall and rustic themed so it seems appropriate.

I was lucky with only one person in my BP. The coolest thing I bought her was a vintage copy of Charlotte Bronte's, "Jane Eyre." She's a librarian, so it was apropos. Other than that, Alex and Ani seems to have charm bracelets that fit every theme and situation. I also bought Jenny a robe to get ready in, and the personalized hanger for her dress, and other stupid stuff, but the book, is what she loved.

I received a beach bag tote that I always use and beautiful earrings from Anthroplogie that I wear all the time. The same bride who gave me the earrings also gave us hideously ugly pewter clutches that may have been from the dollar store. They were terrible, but the earrings are my favorite piece of jewelry! Edit: next to my e-ring of course Smiley winking

@karenM......I am soooooo jealous! My favorite book of all time, Jane Eyre. I would have LOVED a vintage copy! Such a unique gift. That's what I'm trying to do. I want to stay far away from the general wedding gift ideas.

Jewellery seems like a safe option ... .. Worst would be all wedding fluff and nothing actually for them

A friend of mine gave all of her bridal party the jewelry she wanted us to wear for her wedding as our bridal gifts, along with a handmade card that she wrote us each a very nice note in. Another bride gave us all an entire gift bag of stuff, and mine included some expensive earrings because, as she said, she knew I'd never buy something like that for myself Smiley smile

I plan on doing a personalized tote bag (Nothing bridal) filled with goodies. Alex and Ani, perfume, whatever strikes me that is personal to each one. I plan on spending approximately what they are going to spend on attire.

Worst gift: Not receiving anything. But anything that says BRIDESMAID on it or a silk robe, received once as a bridesmaid to wear before getting ready and it wasn't the most comfortable thing to wear, especially because it was shorter and the bride wanted us to wear short shorts so that they didn't show...I would have been more comfortable in yoga pants and tank top

    Best Gift: Coach purse

Best was a strand of pearls. She wanted us to wear them for the wedding but I still wear them all the time. They weren't real...just from Kohls (she left the price tag on haha) but they were nicer looking than a set I bought myself so I really enjoy it. My sister also got us flip flops for her wedding, I loved putting them on to dance at her reception.

I haven't really gotten anything bad. My sister got us nice hangers for our dresses which I only use now to store my dress that I wore and it would have made for a cute picture except a couple of the bridesmaids forgot theirs the day of the wedding. But it was still nice to have!

I've only been a BM once... our gift was a bag full of B&BW stuff in the bride's favorite scent. It was a nice gesture, and she spent a ton of money on it, but I couldn't stand the scent.

I'd say that getting something that says "bridesmaid" on it would be worse than getting nothing! That's the big no-no... no titles or dates. I got my BMs totes with hoodies to wear day of (monogrammed, not titled), necklaces for everyday wear that are specific to their taste, and Pinch Minimergency kits. I've already given one out, and she loved it... her favorite thing was the hoodie because she was struggling trying to figure out what to wear. She was also fascinated with how tiny the emergency kit was. Also, while I know it's not a gift according to WW, I'm paying for their hair and makeup and scaled back their gifts because of that. I know my girls, and they are way more appreciative of that than any trinkets.

The only "bad" gift I got wasn't really bad, but when people give gifts with your name all over it I just feel like it's narcissistic to be walking around with a water bottle AND a tote bag that has "NICOLE" written in huge letters across both. I liked the tote and the really nice water bottle, but I don't need my name on it. So I really don't use either in public.
