Best (Bridesmaids) Gift YOU'VE Received

Anne, on July 13, 2017 at 11:29 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 8

I know there have been many gift threads, and I've searched through a lot of them. But we constantly have new members, so I would love to hear the best bridesmaids gift (or even any gift!) you've received!

I'm already planning on more "generic" items like bathbombs, body wash, pashmina scarves, blankets, wine etc, and I plan to get individual gifts for each like it's their birthday.

I would just love to hear some more unique ideas!

I'm planning to spend between $100-$200 per girl. They're doing so much for me and they deserve it all!

Thanks for the ideas WW! Smiley smile

The best gift I received was room and board at a destination wedding (shared with another bridesmaid) as well as having my hair done. For me (especially at that time in my life - right after college), that was a much more appreciated gesture than a tangible, generic gift.

Pearl necklace and earring set is the best gift i ever got.

i also disagree with the idea that each gift has to be totally different. i've never gotten these huge baskets of items as a bridesmaid. usually it was one simple gift as a token of the bride's appreciation.

I had a DW, so I spoiled mine. They each got:

BM box: large and mini perfume, bath-bomb, Swarovski bracelet, nail filer & scarf with their initials

A robe for when we went to Glen Ivy for my Bridal Spa Day

Hair & make-up for the day of

    Earrings for the day of

If you have decided your budget for each BM, why not buy them one nice thing chosen for their individual taste/interests, instead of wasting money buying a bag full of generic items? That doesn't mean you can't buy the same type of item for more than one BM, if they both would like that item.

The best BM gift I ever received was a daypack and a journal filled with recommendations for an upcoming trip I had planned that the bride had researched.

I've only been in one wedding and we were gifted monogrammed robes (really nice robes from Kohl's), monogrammed totes (kind of pointless, I use mine for the beach), and earrings.

I sort of feel like everything but the robe was a waste of money.

As part of a gift the bride got us all really nice tote bags. In the bags she had provided us with snacks for the next day. We each got our favorite candy and then other snacks. It was actually a great ice breaker with the groomsmen. They had beer, we had snacks, and we all got to know each other while the bride and groom were taking some pictures.
