Best fake flowers??

Diana, on August 11, 2017 at 12:13 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 14

I'm making my own centerpieces. Does anyone know good quality fake flowers/plants that aren't too pricey? The flowers are a decorative part of the centerpiece, like a garland around surrounding it, not the actual centerpiece. I'll be building something similar to the picture. I would just like good quality flowers that don't look fake, cheap, or cheesy. Thanks!

My FMIL got some really convincing looking ones for our mini-engagement party (just immediate family) from Jo Ann Fabrics. They're paper. Everyone thought they were real until you got up-close and really looked. I've also heard of using wood flowers.

The thing about using fake flowers is that if you want cheap, they're gonna look cheap. Maybe try the wood ones that are trending at the moment. https://www.ecoflower.com/

I would also suggest to look for bulk craft moss to get eh fuller feel of the greenery around the bottom in the picture. Or go real and use something inexpensive like carnations.

I really like the ones I found at hobby lobby and they can be quite inexpensive if you get them during sales and/or use coupons. Same goes for Michaels but they didn't have much in my color scheme

My friend did the wooden kind. They looked really good actually. She took them home and is using them for decor in her apartment lol.

No matter how much you spend on fake flowers, even if it's high quality, your guests will be able to tell because they'll be part of your centerpieces which they'll see up close. I also looked into making/buying floral wreaths out of fake flowers but it was often very costly. I'd recommend doing completely non floral centerpieces or hire a florist.

I got mine from Walmart, despite other opinions and I'm very pleased with them. I'm not a flower person and saved thousands staying away from the real ones. I would say it depends on how much you're looking to get and what you're doing with them! But I would shop around, that's what I did

I got mine from Hobby Lobby during a 50% sale and a friend made my bouquets and boutonnieres. I think they look pretty good!

Beautiful flowers @Megan! Thats the exact color that I need. Do you remember how may flowers you purchased to make your bouquets? I need one bridal bouquet and a bouquet for my MOH. What did you use as fillers?

I heard Afloral is good. I got mine mostly from A.C. Moore and Micheal's when they go on sale.
