Hey all you makeup knowledgeable, lovely brides-to-be! Can you help this makeup newbie out by providing some brand recommendations for best lipsticks that don't transfer to your SO when you kiss? I don't really like the matte look on myself, but prefer some sparkle or something more dynamic. Purchased LipSense (wasted money on it is more like it), and hate it. Any other recommendations? Your input is very much appreciated!

Rimmel Transfer Proof Lipstick, Kiss Me You Fool - Target!!!

This product is so amazing, 100% kiss proof, I have showered and slept in it and it doesn't come off. It locks in with the gloss on the white end of the tube perfect for your gloss needs. you can buy it at target so it cant be too expensive. Hope you try it!

I love Kat von D's everlasting lip stain. She has tons of colors- I wore it in Nosferatu for our wedding.

Do you have to use the color for exfoliation?

I use maybelline as well but I’m a matte girl so I really can’t help.

However I wanted to say I did not Lipsense AT ALL. I did everything I could and it just did not work for me. Very patchy after a while and i hate the burning/ smell of it. Luckily I got mine for free because a woman from my church after she bought it realized she was allergic to it

Glad to know I'm not alone! I hated the burn as well, and also experienced patchy look (as well as wrinkled look).

I use lipsense, but honestly, it doesn't last as well as I want for me. I still have to reapply after eating, and Im not sure how much I buy the "exfoliating" logic. It's eating away the brush of the applicator...

and yet I still want more!

Colourpop satin lips, and lippie stix, as well as Sephora lip stains are some of my favorites

It's part of the pigments formula. U make sure your lips are clean before applying and apply the color. The first week or two the formula will look like it's peeling for patches a little during the day. It's not noticeable unless u look at a mirror very closely. Then once your lips are free of build up from waxy products it will be smooth and look amazing. This pictures is me wearing it. I've only worn it a few days I'm a row before this pic but I don't wear lip products so it doesn't take long for me to get last the exfoliation stage. The other key thing is it is applied in three layers and can only be put on in a one direction movement. This means bottom lip in one swipe one direction and the same for upper lip thought I divide my upper lip in half. I'll start from left to middle then stop and the right to middle and stop. Let dry between each layer. If u miss a spot in the first layer, don't go back to fix before it dries! Let it dry and u can make sure to swipe over that spot within the next two layers and it won't be noticeable anymore. Do not rub back and forth ever! It ruins the application and effects.

Here's one after my hmua trial. That is honey rose. I went on a date after and forgot to take a pic at the salon. The lipsense looks better than my holiday look in the other pic. I'm still working on applying to the shape of my lips. I don't recommend overdrawing your lips with this stuff.

Urban Decay or Tartes lip sticks are awesome, they hold really well with eating and kissing 😊. It's a little more pricey, but it'll get the job done! And if you dont like that matte look or feel, which I'm not a fan of either, you can always put some gloss on top of it!
