Best Memories With Each Other Before Marriage

The Bride, on July 20, 2019 at 10:35 AM Posted in Married Life 0 12

The best memory I have with my husband before our wedding day was our first date. My then-boyfriend took me to a park where we drank wine, ate snacks, shared laughs, and enjoyed each others company. At the end of the date, he gave me my first ever tennis bracelet and while I was taking a picture with it he said the funniest joke that had me smiling from ear to ear. That moment was so special to me that I mentioned it in my wedding vows.

What is the best memory you have with your partner before marriage?

My best memory is the day I thought "I could love this man."

After we started talking again, we started a 'maybe we're together\maybe not' phase. Well, during that I was helping him out at a craft show. He was a vendor and I just assisted taking orders, etc. The day went great. We just clicked as a team - which was so opposite of our college interactions I was flabbergasted!

Well, after the show we went out to dinner with his friends and family. A bunch of us were waiting in the front lobby where a couple in a wheelbarrow showed up. My husband jumped up fron his chair and opened the door for them.

It was that night that he completely changed my opinion of him, and reinstated my hope that some people are just good people for the sake of it.

It would be the moment when I really knew this was real. I was having a headache and said I still wanted to go out though but he insisted on me staying home so he can take care of me and he was saying you're precious to me.

It's a small moment but it just made me see what we had was real.

We had been a couple for maybe a week, and went to a hockey game. We were so tired we fell asleep in my bed and I woke up to him building a pillow wall between us because he didn't want me thinking he was up to anything.
I told him a pillow wall wouldnt stop anything if we want it to and to just relax and go to sleep.
🤣 He thinks it's the most embarrassing memory, I think it's the funniest.

My favorite memory was probably our trip to San Francisco in January! We are from Tennessee but are huge Alabama football fans and went out there for the College Football National Championship. That was the first long distance trip we took together, and it was so fun (minus the outcome of the national championship)! We spent 6 days out there together, and I didn’t get tired of FH, which is a big deal because I can only deal with a lot of people for a day or two at a time. We got to see and experience so many new things together!

Surprisingly, my husband and I didn't go on a long-distance trip until we got married!

Me and FH had went to a bar early September 2013, had wings and coolers. It was his mom's bday, so he had to go eventually, but before he did, he gave me a kiss for the first time. I will never forget that.Smiley heart
