Best place to get table garlands??

Anja, on April 12, 2018 at 11:15 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 10
We’re trying to figure out reception table decorations and really want to do lanterns and garlands of greenery since we’ll have long tables. Real garlands are expensive though! Does anyone know places to get fake, affordable and realistic looking ones?? I know it’s a tall order 😳😅

I think I've heard around here that Sam's Club and stores like that have inexpensive (but real) garlands Smiley smile

I’ve heard that too! But I looked into it and a lot of theirs are over $100 per garland. Maybe I’m just too cheap

Hey, everyone's budget is different! No shame! Smiley smile I never looked into the cost myself so I didn't know.

I feel like I've heard on here that someone was looking for artificial garlands but they were about what you'd pay for real ones, IIRC. Smiley atonished I hope you find something! I wish I could be of more assistance to you!

Garlands are pricey because they are labor intensive. If you want fresh greens, you can simply overlap branches down the length of the table. When you get to the far end, turn the branches around so you can hide the cut end with greens. You can mix various kinds of greens and include candles and flowers in florist tubes.

If you go with faux greens, you can also mix in some fresh greenery. It makes almost any faux garland look much better.

Have you looked into a local wholesaler? I am getting Salal garland from mine for $7.00 a foot and it's super full looking (obviously that doesn't work for every price point but it worked for us since we aren't spending much on florals). Their prices start at $4.90 per ft and go up to $16 per ft so it really just depends on the type you're looking for!

Maybe this is a dumb question Lindsey, but what exactly do you mean by a local wholesaler? Like a local floral place?

Costco is slightly cheaper than Sam's club (more like $80 for 25 ft).

Look on Fifty Flowers! They sell garland and loose greenery. If you're willing to DIY garland it would be way cheaper and there are tons of youtube videos on how to do it!!

I think you could keep them inexpensive but still really pretty if you DIY or overlap (:
