best place to print Thank You cards

Megan, on November 17, 2012 at 10:40 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 5

Hi everyone! I just got a few proofs back from our photographer and wanted to make our Thank You cards... Where is the best place to order from? I know a lot of you may recommend VP, but I'm not a huge fan... any good experiences with Shutterfly? or others I may not know about?

Thank you! :-)

Actually, I was about to tell you NOT to do VP :-) We had our other stationery from them and it was fine. But TY cards were beyond awful.

I had a great experience with Shutterfly, but I can't tell you about any other site, sorry :-(

We used shutterfly and they turned out great!

I think the code "ship30" should get you free shipping. Also I would sign up for their emails and see if they send you a promo for any discounts. They run sales on cards every so often.

I am completely with you on not being a fan of VP.

For my thank you cards, I ordered from mpix.com. They are the consumer storefront to the professional printing lab Millers. I always order my actual prints from them, and I was happy with the quality of my cards. They just started offering some new paper options recently as well. I liked the ability to upload my complete design, for both front and back.

I've ordered holiday cards from Shutterfly and have always been happy with them.

I just ordered my Holiday cards this year from Minted.com and I was blown away with their quality. Their price is higher but it's definitely a "you get what you pay for" and the result was just fabulous. I'm not sure I would recommend them though unless you had a small guest list though. Sending a lot of TY cards could be way too pricey from them.

Thank you so much ladies! I'm glad I'm not the only one on the "no VP boat!" I'm currently looking through Shutterfly and they have some great options (and coupons!). I think I'll try those out.

And Mrs.O-- I'm going to look a mpix for ordering our prints as well. We get an album from our photographer and a CD of pictures so I was looking for a good qaulity place to order from. Thanks for the recommendation!

I don't have experience with them yet, but I am getting our christmas cards from Pear Tree Greetings. I love their designs. They are a little pricey but they have a groupon now. http://www.groupon.com/deals/g1mm-pear-tree-greetings-los-angeles-ca
