My FH is a railroad conductor and often times is wrist deep in train oil/grease. He also has to constantly jump up and down off the train cars, which would mean constant banging of the ring. We got him a fancy ring (white gold) that he can wear on nice occasions, holidays, anniversaries, etc. He also has a titanium one (black), but idk if that one is okay to wear to work. However, I am wondering what brand/type would be best for someone that works with their hands and gets super dirty. I was thinking silicone?? If your spouse/future spouse works with their hands, what ring did you buy or plan to buy? I'm open to any and all suggestions. Price doesn't necessarily matter right now since we are just looking.

Get a silicone ring from Amazon. I got one for about $6 for my FH since he works on cars all day but wanted to wear a ring. It sits flush to his finger so he doesn't have to worry about it getting snagged or caught on anything.

This is what me and FH have been tossing around, too. He is a mechanic and has to worry about tight spaces and electrical concerns. This was going to be my suggestion as well. and best part is, they are only like $20 so it's not a huge additional expense.

My FH also cannot wear a ring to work due to safety reasons. He's going to get a gold band for special occasions, but he's considering a simple tattoo for a ring. It was the only totally safe alternative he could think of.

My husband is a diesel mechanic and isn't allowed to wear a ring at work so he wears his ring on the weekends.
