Best setting spray for oily skin?

Delaney, on April 24, 2019 at 12:55 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 33

Okay, oily-skinned makeup friends: best setting spray. I’m talking can withstand hurricane force winds (and tears). I’m using an Urban Decay one right now and it isn’t really doing as good as a job as I want. I’ve found a good primer (Becca) that keeps it on, but I don’t want to leave foundation prints on my husband the day of!

Have you tried a setting powder instead? I prefer that when my skin is oily.

Following this!! I have SUPER oily skin and I plan to do my own makeup. From what I heard, Urban Decay's All Nighter spray is really good, but I'm really curious about other options, especially if that's the one you have that isn't doing a good job.

I use both 😂 I don’t see a difference between powder, spray, or both right now.

That’s what I’m using right now—it’s nice but my foundation still slips around.

Bummer! My skin is weird and alternates from super oily to super dry. When it's oily, I use a matte foundation, setting powder, and an oil control primer.

I ordered it online! It’s what stage performers use so they don’t sweat their makeup off underneath the lights.

Try milk of magnesia in before foundation! It’s really good for oily T-zones! I get it off amazon!

I've got oily skin as well and I use Ben Nye Final Seal. Only spray that's kept me looking matte the longest and very minimal to no transfer. I purchased mine on eBay!

Professional ballerina here - THIS STUFF WORKS!!
It is a little pricier, but it definitely works! I used this for all college shows because the lights were so harsh! Thankfully my skin has gotten a little better since then, but I recommend it!

Ok, go with me on this, but I use hairspray. I used to dance competitively and it stood up to sweat really well, no smudges or running on even the craziest OTT makeup. It feels really stiff for the first maybe 30 seconds it's on but then it loosens up and you don't feel it
