Best setting spray for oily skin?

Okay, oily-skinned makeup friends: best setting spray. I’m talking can withstand hurricane force winds (and tears). I’m using an Urban Decay one right now and it isn’t really doing as good as a job as I want. I’ve found a good primer (Becca) that keeps it on, but I don’t want to leave foundation...

I haven't tried a lot of setting sprays but one I really love is made by the brand Elf.

I'm legitimately surprised because I can swim with the urban decay setting spray on lol. No transfer. I don't have a better suggestion Smiley sad

Just hold it far away from your face when you spray, keep it constantly moving over your face, and keep your eyes closed for several seconds after you're done spraying so it won't sting your eyes

So I have found that setting spray works best with a matte foundation, especially with oily skin. I'm not sure what foundation you use, but in combination, both will make your skin look dewy, which is a no-no for the wedding pics. Matte foundation is pretty drying alone, so that may change the way you wear setting spray. I have one from Sephora.. it's Urban Decay All Nighter. I also will keep blotting sheets on me just in case. The elf brand is the cheapest and works wonders! I also have the elf setting spray.. that too will make me look oily after a while. So my suggestion would be to switch your foundation first!

I've done it a few times for the few pageants I did years ago and some show choir performances--it does work pretty well, but it isn't the best for your skin. As someone who already has acne-prone skin, I'd rather not give my skin another reason to break out! Smiley xd

I've been using All Nighter and it just doesn't work for me, I don't think. I'm working on picking my foundation, too--so far UD and a Kat von D (I don't remember the names of either for sure Smiley xd ) foundation are the ones that held up the best for me. Since I fixed my primer problem, my next thing to tackle is the setting spray. Then I think I can start playing around with my wedding look!

Oily skin can be the devil sometimes. Smiley xd Before I switched primers, Urban Decay and even Fenty foundation melted off of me. FENTY. But switching primers has definitely improved things! Just trying to solve the transfer problem so my makeup stays on my face and not anywhere else!

Yeah thats a concern haha! My skin is kinda sensitive... but if it works really well it might be worth it!Smiley laugh
But, my main concern isnt really to not have the makeup rub off or something, the main thing is to not get oily. Did it stop your makeup from getting oily??

Bare Minerals Liquid Foundation has worked really well for me. I even wear it without setting spray and it looks phenomenal. I use a translucent setting powder which helps so much! Maybe try that after applying the setting spray? I didn't use a setting spray in my e-pics and they turned out great! No dewy or oily face Smiley smile

Also, for everyone! Setting spray where alcohol is the main ingredient, (when the alcohol is the first ingredient listed on the contents list) is said to have the best ability to lock down the makeup. Smiley laugh
So thats something to look for!

If you're going with urban decay they have a special formual for oily skin. Instead of the all nighter you should be using the de-slick. They have it in a spray and a powder. They have the sample sizes of it too so you can try it.
