Of course! My main issue was I always used things with alcohol & were super drying, so it was making my skin so dry which I thought was a good thing since normally I have super oily skin. I ended up going to an amazing esthetician who explained I was just congesting my skin and trapping all the blackheads/acne/etc. underneath the surface because my skin was so dry. Once I learned that, I started using a much more gentle cleanser & toner and the improvement has been awesome!

These are some of my favorite products (I have oily/combination skin and thick, straight, color-treated hair, if that helps):

    - I highly recommend the Clinique 3-Step skin care regimen. The products (cleanser, toner and moisturizer) are tailored to your skin type so it takes the guesswork out of skin care.

    - My go-to nighttime skin cocktail is a few drops of The Ordinary's Buffet serum with a squirt of Algenist's Genius Ultimate Anti-Aging Vitamin C+ serum, followed-up with Philosophy's Hope In A Jar. Buffet has peptides and amino acids to prevent aging, Vitamin C helps brighten skin and reduce discoloration and Hope In A Jar is a lactic acid moisturizer which is a gentle AHA exfoliant. I live for Vitamin C, so I'll use it in any way I can.

    - I recommend Paula's Choice BHA Liquid Exfoliant as another chemical exfoliant. My skin is a bit on the sensitive side so I use this maybe 3x per week at night. BHA (Beta hydroxy acid) sheds built-up layers of skin.

    - Sunscreen! My all-time favorite is Shiseido Urban Environment Oil-Free Broad Spectrum Sunscreen because I hate the greasy sunscreen feel and this feels like you're not wearing anything at all. Also, it's important to get a broad spectrum sunscreen so you're blocking out UV in its entirety.

    - If you have color-treated hair, I cannot say enough about Redkin's pH Bonder Post-Service Protector as a hair mask... BUT they pulled it from the shelves a few weeks ago because of a lawsuit. So apparently Olaplex's No. 3 bonder is supposed to be the same formula, but I haven't tried it yet.

    - DPHue's Apple Cider Vinegar Rinse is a good product for removing build-up in your hair.

    - Aquis Luxe Hair Towel. Yes, I have a specific towel for my hair. I thought it was just hype, but I love it. It dries my hair faster and my hair looks less damaged and frizzy.
