Best time to do spray tan and nails

Kimberly, on February 3, 2021 at 8:57 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 15
I am planning to get a spray tan for my wedding to even out the blotchiness on my arms (strapless dress). I have a trial run that I’m going to do soon. But I’m not sure the best time frame to do it.
I am getting a facial on the Saturday before (wedding is on Saturday, March 13) and my hair cut and color touch up that same day. I don’t think I’m going to do the highlights though, just my regular color touch up to cover those greys!
When should I plan to do the spray tan and nails that week before the wedding? We leave Friday for Gatlinburg where our wedding is so all will have to be done between Sunday - Thursday. Thoughts?

I've never gotten a spray tan so can't comment on that, but I'm getting my nails done on the Thursday morning before our Saturday wedding so that it looks fresh and (hopefully) nothing chips.

I also haven't ever had a tan, but I went with my bridesmaids, mom, and grandmother Friday morning before our rehearsal to get our nails done.

I believe you’ll need to get the spray tan after the facial, hair, and nails, as all use products and/or chemicals that could possibly remove the tan.

I just had a trial run on a spray tan yesterday & a touch up next Wednesday- going to do a boudoir shoot next Saturday & give it to my fiancé as a wedding gift. I wanted to do the same thing for our wedding in April. My lady said they generally hold up for a good 7-10 days. I’m planning on getting my nails & a pedicure the day before our wedding.

I'm also trying to figure that out. I think the month of I'm going to start tanning and build a base tan and then mid week get a spray tan, same day or next day get my nails done.

Right, that’s why I’m trying to figure out when during that week to do nails and tanning. Like how many days ahead of wedding for tanning. I’ve read that nails should be before tanning because manicure can make tan splotchy.

From what I’ve read I think nails need to be before spray tan so that hands and feet aren’t splotchy. But I’m not positive.

Oh you are right, if you are getting a full on manicure and pedicure they massage your hands with lots of oils and lotions and soak your feet.

For that reason im going to do a regular tanning bed a couple times. Usually spray looks a bit orange on me because im pretty pale. Plus it wont affect me during my manicure, pedicure, waxing my whole body and my facials. I get a facial and dermaplane once a month. So ima do my facial 5 days before. Mask every day. Hair touched up ima do it a week or so before.

Also, for best results: go to the spray tan completely clean and dry, no lotions or deodorant. Wait as long as you can (do the overnight one if possible) and only rinse with water the first time after. Use cetaphil (or similar) cleanser and moisturizer when showering. Use a disposable razor without the moisture strip when shaving.
