Best travel agent to use for Sandals Grande St Lucian honeymoon??

Kelspatterson, on February 3, 2015 at 11:19 AM Posted in Honeymoon 0 8

Hey guys! Any recommendations on the best travel agent to use for booking honeymoons at Sandals Grande St Lucian?? Need to book ours for 6/29-7/6 and I'm not sure if I should just book via Sandals direct or with an agent who could potentially get us "perks". Thanks for the input!!!

Try wedding vibe. They have free Sandals HM planning. My agent is so nice and is going to add little perks. Smiley smile

Hi date twin! We are looking into the exact same honeymoon with the exact same dates! Small world! I recommend Liberty Travel or Travel by Kelly (she has a page on here) http://www.travelbykellyb.com

We are using Kristi from explore your world vacations. She has been fantastic!! She has personal experience at a lot of the resorts down there, she helped us choose two different resorts (Sandals La Toc and Sugar Beach), so we can see more of the island. Highly recommended!

I don't have an agent recommendation (we booked through sandals direct) but i wanted to say that we honeymooned there and LOVED IT! we really enjoyedthe swim-up lagoon room we chose as it was really nice to just wake up and have a small pool right there; we often ordered room service breakfast and ate it there before getting ready for the day and going out to the resort areas.

A good agent won’t cost more than doing it on your, and can in fact save you money and hours of frustration! But just like any industry, there are great agents, and not so great agents. Here’s some questions to ask when looking for an agent:

    - How long have they been in business?

    - What professional certifications do they hold?

    - Are they able to articulate why they are recommended a certain destination or resort for you?

    - Are they able to explain all the ins and outs of the trip insurance?

    - When is the last time they visited the particular resort or destination they are recommending?

Here are some things to look out for:

    - If they only recommend one hotel chain, such as Sandals. Not that Sandals isn’t good, but , it’s not right for everyone.

    - If they ask you to pay cash for your trip, run! You should always pay for your travel with either a credit or debit card.

    - If they don’t understand the insurance, or aren’t able to explain the insurance, run! If you’re not able to travel for any reason, you could lose 100% of your investment. A great agent will look out for you.

Would love to help you. I was at all of the Sandals St Lucia properties several months ago. I am a certified Sandals Specialist and work with closely with the management at the properties. There is no extra cost for my services, and I sometimes can save money, when combined with air. Please feel free to visit my storefront and email me at *****@************.***, or call me 215-450-8334

We used Barb at Travelwise (she's FH's aunt), and booked at Grande St. Lucian for the end of April!

I echo Bliss Wedding Advice on selecting a good reputable agent, that is licensed bonded and insured. Sandals Certification and Experienced at matching the right client to the right property.

Also a travel agent can take care of your trip end to end, and shop all the suppliers and ensure you get the best pricing. They can help with air, transfers, insurance, tours and more. One stop shopping.

If you have an American Express Credit card booking with an American Express Travel Representative can also enable you to get all the perks of your credit card, plus you can pay with points! If you don't have enough points, you can partially pay with points and pay the balance with your credit card. Weddings and Honeymoons are expensive, why not make sure you are also getting all those points and travel rewards you deserve.

Take Care and FYI St. Lucia is amazing, my clients just returned and they had the Italian Bi-Level Swim Up Butler Suite and absolutely adored it.
