Best Version of Hava Nagila?

soontobeRTR, on February 22, 2017 at 6:48 AM Posted in Planning 1 6

FI and I want to have our DJ play "Hava Nagila" and get lifted on chairs, but we are having a really hard time finding the best version. We've searched YouTube, iTunes, Google, and this forum, to no avail. Our DJ sent us two options, but we didn't really like either of them. The best version we've found so far is this:

But it's still not perfect and doesn't seem like the one that usually gets played at weddings. Does anyone know where to find a great version of this song so we can dance the Hora?

Also as a Jewish person, I don't really compare and contrast horas at each wedding I go to. There is no "right" one. But as long as the basic songs are played, people will dance.

FH is Jewish, and we're going for a decently fast and short version - since I want as little time as possible on a chair above anyone's head.

I'm also on the hunt for a good version. But I'm in it for the full dance. I want my guests doing a proper hora. I want a healthy amount of fiddle and clarinet and either a strong female vocalist or mixed-gender choir. I want a version that starts slowish and picks up speed after the first verse and refrain.
