Best website for wholesale flowers?

Annie, on September 4, 2017 at 8:09 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 4 16

Hi! For those of you who bought flowers in bulk and assembled them yourselves, do you have any feedback on what companies do a great, cost-effective job with fresh flowers? Grocery stores? Online? What has been your experience?

I just got married Friday. I used Sams Club. They were fantastic. I had to transport them twice and they were still absolutely perfect.

We ordered ours from Kroger. The woman that did our consultation was amazing!! She was so knowledgeable and made the process very easy and fun! We obviously haven't seen our flowers yet but know people who've went with Kroger and were so happy. Plus, the prices were great!

I did a ton of research on this and I can tell you that buying from different websites and locations will get you the best deals. I found global rose had the best prices for standard roses, no shipping costs and they were without a doubt the most beautiful flowers I purchased. I bought garden roses from Whole Blossoms, no shipping charges and the ability to mix and match colors and varieties. By far the best prices on garden roses on the web and stellar customer service. That being said, they need at least 4 days to open fully and they are very delicate. The garden roses I ordered were beautiful but not nearly as hardy and pretty as the standards. I bought fillers, spray roses, hydrangeas and alstroemerias from sams club. Best pricing and quality on hydrangeas on the web. They did not wilt and were huge and gorgeous! Spray roses were awesome and plentiful. They make terrific fillers. Sams club charges a 10 percent fee if you do not have a membership or purchase one for 45 dollars. I chose the fee as it was cheaper. Still lowest price on the web. There are many websites like fifty flowers, flower moxie, bloominous, blooms by the box etc. but they were all more money than the ones I listed. If you want a lot of flowers and variety order from several sites. I also used my local grocery store for a bunch of Queen Anne's lace, and stock that I wanted for my bouquet. Trader Joe's, hands down the best price for seeded and silver dollar eucalyptus. 2.50 a bunch!

If you don’t mind my asking but how much did you spend on your flowers? I want to do a similar color scheme. I only need 1 bridal bouquet, 4 bridesmaid bouquet, 5 boutonnieres, and some extra to put in small vases. Thanks!

This WAS SO HELPFUL! I was already considering using Sam's, but I have never heard of Global Rose or Whole Blossoms...I am looking forward to checking them out and mixing and matching. Do you mind sharing your total cost breakdown?
