Following. What style dress do you have? Is it strapless?

I went with a low back long line strapless bra and some mid-thigh spanx (not Spanx brand, I think mine might be Maidenform)

Spanx's affordable line is at Target (Assets). I have two from there. One that goes from my bra line to underwear and one that goes from my bar line to shorts. I have been wearing the underwear one while trying on dresses and it gets rid of the belly pooch well.

Someone in another wedding thread recommended Rago shapewear to me. I want something to smooth out my love handle area just a smidge, and I'm considering trying them.

I'm finding lots of shape wear but none of it seems to be doing anything for my boobs! It's getting frustrating.

I second rago. They are available on amazon and at speciality bra shops for under $50 and take off inches to tighten everything

@Sarizzle I need some cleavage! All the longline bras I tried on so far haven't had much padding. I'm a C cup so they're not small but my dress doesn't do much for them.

Is the Rago brand easy to take off? I tried on a few brands at kohl's and could barely get them on or off. I bought 2 jockey brand shorts on sale but the legs roll up so I'm going to keep looking.

@brittany is that tape for the stuff to stay in place? maybe that will help them not roll up your legs @kristen

@daniella have you thought about going to Victoria Secret and checking out their wedding line. i cant shop there because of all the padding in the cute bras so I think they might be your best bet you should try it out!

I keep waffling on the subject of shapewear. On the one hand, I want to look my best. On the other hand, I'm mega hydrated and need to pee about every 45 minutes and I think shapewear would prohibit that....

I've got some mini shapewear (think high-waisted shorts) that is Assets and Maidenform brand. They work well for my needs, BUT finding the right size has been extremely tricky. I'm a medium in some and a 2XL in others. What gives??

@Sarizzle I didn't know they had a wedding line! I'll definitely check it out. I was hoping to get one piece instead of 2 different things. Thanks!

So this may not seem like much help but seriously go to Dillards!! The employees there are literally so helpful I was in and out within 15 minutes and got exactly what I wanted! I didn't get shapewear, I just needed a bustier, but they literally had a whole wall of it!

Also I would recommend getting 2 pieces - my friend had a one piece and lets just say peeing was a major issue... lol

So I have always had a problem with the spanx rolling down from the top. I would rather not have to add body tape in the case of needing to use the bathroom. Anyone have Spanx they reccommend that wont roll down on me? My dress is strapless so looking to get 2 pieces: Strapless bra and spanx that go into a short form.

I got two pieces, one from Macy's went from my bra line down into shorts it zipped up and was great. It also had a hole in the crotch so peeing wasn't an issue. I also got a longline bra on Amazon. It hit right at my natural waist and gave me a great figure.

@Micaela if they're rolling, they're likely not Spanx. Spanx is expensive because it's quality and won't roll. This is a lot of trial and error if you don't go with Spanx brand. Try Macy's and try them on. I also got a long-line bra after my steel-boned corset didn't work and it hit at my waist and made it look smaller.

@SarizzleShizzle nothing will make you look super skinny. Shapewear just evens out lumps and bumps.

@Daniella I've never done this myself because I have the opposite problem (wish my cup size was smaller), but if you want cleavage, you need body tape. Bend over, pull your breasts together and tape them under the nipple. Instant cleavage. You can also use some bronzer between your breasts to create a shadow.
