Hello lovelies! So I'm in a little predicament. My wedding is planned to be the end of June this year but I really want to be 180 pounds by April so I can try on dresses etc. I weigh 200 now. Hello lovelies! So I'm in a little predicament. My wedding is planned to be the end of June this year but I really want to be 180 pounds by April so I can try on dresses etc. I weigh 200 now. Is there a plan that really works to lose 20 pounds in 2 months? I really don't want to fail my fiancé and have to reschedule our wedding because of my weight issue. I really need help. Any tips would be awesome. Thanks in advance.

From my understanding it's healthy to lose two pounds a week. Change your diet and exercise frequently.

So idk why you need to postpone your wedding just because of your weight. That seems like there are some other underlying issues there. That being said, I lost 15lbs in a month doing Whole30 but beyond the weight loss, I learned HOW to eat better. Now I'm adding in exercise and still maintaining the "diet." I put that in quotes because I don't really feel like I'm denying myself anything. It's totally a lifestyle change but you HAVE to commit to it. You can't just pick certain parts and half-ass it.

Join a weight loss center. With that tight of a deadline, having accountability and professional advice can really help.

I am so glad I am not alone. I am at 180 and would like to see 165 by my wedding. I feel like I would let my fiance down if I didn't lose the weight. Granted I have 8 months. But it was the only motivator he could find to get me to stick to my own health plan. Also the dress I ordered no longer comes in a 16 so I need to lose to get into a 14 or under. I feel your pain. Avoid too many carbs, drink water, add (non starchy) veggies to every meal, and try kefir. Smiley smile Good luck!

I mean, I'm currently on the Nutrisystem diet because the diet plans I was supposed to be following for medical reasons were not helping me get to my ideal weight. Is it helping me lose weight a little fast than I had in the past? Sure. Can it guarantee that you'll lose 20 lbs in 2 months? No. I've been on it since mid October and just recently reached the 30 lbs down mark.

I don't think it's healthy to think about weight loss just in terms of body image and just in terms of one day of your life. It takes the amount of time it takes, and it should be about being healthy.

I will say that you're better off dress shopping now. If you decide to follow a diet plan and amp up your exercise routine between now and June, celebrate whatever progress you do make, and trust that you'll find a seamstress who can take in the dress.

20 pounds in 2 months is unhealthy. Personally if you're gonna fail your FS by not losing 20 pounds, then you need to lose 180 pounds....of FS.
