What is the best and worst bridesmaid gifts you have received in the past. I have never been a bridesmaid and I'm seriously lost looking for gifts for my girls. I need some inspiration and some words of caution. Thanks!

I've talked with my BM and MOH about if they would like a robe with BM and MOH on it and they said yes, but I'll also be getting them gifts that fit their personality. Like my BM loves Paris and make up. So she will be getting something that has to do with both. My MOH loves Dr. Who and Harry potter. I don't see what's wrong with a robe is you pair it with other things.

Burga, to me jewelry is very personal. If your one of your BMs only wears real gold, silver or real pearls, I would not get her costume jewelry, even if nice or expensive.

    Best: a VS robe

Worst: a bracelet that fell apart within seconds (however it was personalized so I am thankful)

I've never been in a wedding but I am considering getting each of my bridesmaids mini spa kits...bath bomb, cute candle, lotion, stuff like that with personalized wine glasses for the day of, they will say their names though since I only have bridesmaids and no MOH

Best a very personalized necklace with my name, birthstone and a Star Wars charm.

Worst - pink rhinestone jewelry for the day of. I've never worn it since.

Best - makeup bag in my favorite color with my initials on it. I used it for 10 years and only just gave up and threw it out. My MOH gave it to me at her wedding and was shocked I still had it. Also engraved wine glasses with my initials that are HUGE. Best gift ever.

Worst - random cheap jewelry that I don't ever wear or have anymore.

Great topic! I really enjoyed reading these and I think I went above and beyond for my girls even though I could not pay for hotels, dresses, makeup, and hair. That would be amazing but has never happened in my friend group and I can't afford to start it now.

Anything with "bridesmaid" or your and FH's name and/or wedding date is a terrible gift. Period. Nobody wants that shit and will never use it again.

Think about the people you're gifting and try to get something they will like.

Any thoughts on the following (too late I ordered already, but still curious haha) Everything is part of the package

    1. Christmas ornament w/ name, "bridesmaid" and am image w/ the girl in the color dress and personalized hair color.

    2. Coffee mug with Monogram and fun colors

    3. Coaster w/ name and name "meaning" in fun design

    4. Personalized hanger for day of wedding

    5. Necklace to wear at ceremony

Personally I have only been in 2 weddings. One I remember getting a personalized bag, but it was HUGE and this was before all the reusable bags were a thing so I loved it. The other was the necklace she wanted us to wear at the wedding. Which was fine, but not my taste so I felt bad she spent so much money. When I was gift planning I really wanted to avoid jewelry since everyone's tastes are so unique. The necklaces I picked out are nice looking IMHO but were not expensive at all and I don't expect them to be cherished forever.

I'm giving my bridesmaids their jewelry and a gift certificate to Pampered Chef. I wanted something different and something I knew would be useful to them.

I'm gifting my bridesmaids monogrammed button-down shirts for us to wear while we get our hair done (just with their initials; not wedding titles), acrylic skinny tumblers with lids & straws with their names, and Kate Spade pavé bangles that say "birds of a feather, two of a kind, perfect pair, partners in crime, peas in a pod, sidekicks" on the outside and "best friend ever" on the inside. My junior bridesmaid is getting the same, except I got her an Origami Owl locket and all the emoji charms (she loves emojis) instead of the Kate Spade bangle. I also covered half the cost of their dresses.

My flower girls are getting the shirts, and pearl bracelets with rose charms in the center (and I paid full price for their dresses and shoes).

My mom and my future-MIL both got the button-downs and necklaces (mystic topaz for my mom; blue topaz for my MIL).

And of course everyone gets a "thank you" note.

Part of my gift to my BMs was a "personalized" bottle of wine which seemed to go over really well. For example, I got my MOH a bottle of a specialty wine from the island her family is from, my SIL got a bottle made by a company with the same name as her newborn daughter, etc. I've only been a BM once and got a purse and jewelry that were not my style at all.
