What stood out in your memory as the best time you've had? What was the worst wedding you have attended?

Best: honestly haven't been to many, so I guess the best goes to the least offensive wedding, a typical ballroom with decent food and an open bar

Worst: went to a barn wedding in 90 degree heat. Everyone was sweating through their clothes. 150 people, but they only had one bathroom. Also they did open bar until the liquor ran out--it ran out during the cocktail hour. The bridal party brought their own alcohol on coolers so they had a great night. I was invited without my boyfriend and they sat me at the singles table. To top it all off, the bride drank too much and threw up on the dance floor. The craziest part is the bride's family thought it was an amazing wedding.

I agree its not how big or how much money is spent. I had 2 nieces get married 3 weeks apart. The first was on a very tight budget and had things gifted to her. Grooms aunt lived on a lake and they were married in her back yard, friends had an amazing bbq business so food was incredible. It was small, intimate and so much fun. The other niece married the son of a prominent family in our town. The grooms mom offered to pay the catering but refused to pay her to clean up saying she would get friends to do it but those friends no showed so MOB and I were doing clean up for 150 people. No one danced and most peope left super early. Vibe was so different but lots of money was spent. I guess

Best: My brother's wedding in Pennsylvania. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were all in a nice hotel, so everything was one location, no need to drive anywhere, and we all just walked back to our rooms after. It was a very enjoyable time, the reception was a blast, there was a photo booth, the cake was really good, it was relaxed and fun, LOTS of dancing and good music.

Worst: It was a backyard wedding, the ceremony was in the garage, the reception under a tent. The only thing that was wrong was that it POURED nonstop the entire time. We couldn't dance, the food was all homemade and nothing I could eat due to food allergies, but I still had a nice time talking to an awesome elderly couple. Plus, since the house was on farmland, I got to hold a newborn baby pig. Eventually we did end up dancing in the little garage. So it wasn't terrible at all, we still had fun despite the weather and lack of space and me not eating.
