Better in theory

While wedding planning we always come across with things that sound great and then they turn out to be unnecessary or not used at all. What are some of those things for you?

When we bought our vow books they came with a card to give to each other on the wedding day. We were so busy with other stuff that we almost forgot about them and the moment when we read them was not caught in camera because we were literally rushing to get to the wedding venue

I don't know if this counts, but i bought sashes for the both of us to wear for our rehearsal dinner (Game of thrones themed) and FH says he doesn't want to wear it bc guys don't wear sashes ... sigh lol His is dark blue and says Wedding is Coming. I thought he would like it!

First off, those books are so cute!

i don't really know thus far what i bought that seems unnecessary other than my send off. i decided to have a bubble send off - i think send offs in general are unnecessary, it just makes for a good photo op.

Thanks, yes. Send-offs are kinda unnecessary. I wanted to have sparklers and my venue didn't accept them, so we didn't do one and we didn't feel the need for it at all. We didn't do anything that was "good just for the pictures". Our wedding flowed very naturally and send-offs to me are just basically for the pictures.

Those are cute! I didnt even know those were a thing until I got on here. Haha.
Only thing I kind of wasted was on bandalettes.i guess I ordered them a size too big or my thighs are just resistant to anything of the sort and decided to scrap them last minute. And surprisingly, I didnt even end up with any chafing!

Yes, I really liked that detail because those cards were an extra item. Bandalettes, interesting.

I feel like anything that says Bride in it is frivolous. I told my MOH don’t you dare get me a glittery shirt that says bride on for my bachelorette.

Hahaha I didn’t buy anything like that. My SIL gave me a robe with the word bride in the back. That’s cute and I still use it but I wouldn’t have bought it for myself.

I bought a Davids Bridal wedding kit that has those little things you never know you'll need. I never used it. My mom did though, she forget her mascara and what do you know it came with a little tiny tiny mascara, ha!
