Renz made 9 bridesmaids dresses for my grand daughter's wedding. I did all of the measurements and I know I did them correctly as I'm also a seamstress. When the dresses came in, every one of them needed alterations! Not one of them came in the length which was indicated on your form! This has been quite a job to hem 9 dresses (3 layers each dress), plus the bust was too big on all but one so I've had to take them in on each side of the bodice. I expected the strap (one arm) to need adjusting but for all to need hemming was crazy. On top of that, the hems were all crooked. ....they were longer in the front of the dress than on the sides of the dresses. What a mess! Even some of the linings were longer than the outside skirt. Very disappointed.

Please respond to my questions. I am getting no response on Facebook or Etsy. We paid for 10 bridesmaid dresses before Christmas and expected them to be delivered as promised. I got a notification of shipment on March 3rd and another new one today. When I track the package it appears that it never left your facility - and had not been scanned by the post office. Did it leave your facility? Can you send me a picture of our dresses? Please communicate ! This is really terrible to do to a bride! COMMUNICATE!

Extremely disappointed in both the dresses received from RenzRags and the customer service. My sister ordered bridesmaid dresses for her upcoming wedding and none of the dresses received matched the measurements given. NOT A SINGLE DRESS FIT CORRECTLY!! We were told it would cost $150 per dress for alterations. After sending numerous photos to RenzRags as instructed, RenzRags refused to take responsibility for their mistakes. My sister was sent $20 for the inconvenience after spending more than $700 on DRESSES WE CAN’T USE! We are now scrambling to find and purchase brand new dresses. Think twice before ordering from RenzRags!

My wedding dress was made by RenzRags and it arrived to me SOAKED in cat urine. It was also not correctly measured and the fabric used was cheap and "dyed" black. I messaged Miya and RenzRags asking for a reimbursement of the cost of cleaning and one yard of the lace used to create the bodice (she cut the lace into scraps and just laid them, unevenly, all over a cheap "nude" fabric to create the bodice) but she refused to help with either request, stating it was just a chemical smell and it will go away in a couple of days and that she can't get any more lace/won't help me get more lace.

My seamstress and fiance are both allergic to cats, making it difficult to have it adjusted. I have been to two high level cleaners specializing in wedding gowns who are having a difficult time finding a way to clean the urine and it's nasty smell out of my gown without completely destroying the shape, fabric or color! Not to mention the unexpected $150 cleaning costs, the cost to replace the entire, poorly made bodice, and the $100-$150 alterations costs... which, if we cannot get the smell out, will increase to the cost of COMPLETELY remaking the dress! I am so disappointed and disgusted by the shop and it's lack of customer service! I will be reporting the situation to the Better Business Bureau as well as Etsy. This is incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful. Planning a wedding is already a great deal of work and stress, having to worry about my dream dress because of the disgusting smell of cat urine/spray soaked into the fabric is a whole other problem added onto that work and stress! I pray no one else ever has to deal with the terrible customer service and low quality that this woman and her company produce.

Dresses were never received. Seller refused to help with trying to track the parcel down and only wanted more money to make a new set. Also tried to suggest that it was delivered but could have been taken by family member?! Bizarre, unhelpful and patronsing. Be careful when dealing with these people. Have filed a complaint!

I am still waiting to hear back from them but its only been a day. My dress is not wearable, and it has nothing to do with measurements, but rather the way the material was cut and sewed. I am hoping to hear back soon so I don't have to take the next step.

I am so sorry you experienced this. I did order my dresses from RenzRagz and everyone's was amazing. ..Really sucks you had those issues

Do not buy anything from Renz Rags. They give off this illusion that they're a small, cute little dress shop in California and that they care about their customers...nope. They outsource to China. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE POSITIVE REVIEWS ON ETSY!

I am getting married in October. My bridesmaids ordered 3 dresses from them. Not only is the color not correct (and I have the physical swatch in front of me) but 2 out of 3 of them DO NOT FIT, despite giving exact measurements. And one of those isn't just poorly fit, it's constructed VERY POORLY. Like a highschooler made it. It will not lie flat on the shoulder area and is completely lopsided/twists/off-center. These dresses are not usable. They look like garbage. If you want to spend your money on garbage bags, save yourself the trouble and go to your local supermarket and invest in some Hefty bags.

Oh, and when I contacted them, they played nice and implied that basically it was us, not them. That we were seeing the color differently, but that they use a strict code system to color their fabrics and it couldn't possibly be the wrong color...despite the fact that I have the swatch right in front of me and it does not match. Their only solution was for us to order 3 MORE DRESSES and they'd give us a 30% discount. Yeah right. Like they'd get any MORE of our money. No way, not now, not ever. Brides and bridesmaids be forewarned- DO NOT USE THIS SHOP.

I just came here to comment and say that I wish I would have googled reviews of this seller before we ordered from them. They MUST pad their etsy reviews because there's no way they are pumping out hundreds of custom dresses every month without them being cheap quality direct from China. Our dresses arrived but are terrrrrrible quality. Much too large. Like they just chose a standard size close to the custom measurements we sent, but its still so far off. The bust is almost 4 inches too large. Length is 5 inches longer than we asked for. Straps HANG. The gold belting is held on by literally three stitches and also hangs off the waist. Its super sad. Then I found that you can find this exact same dress on Amazon for MUCH cheaper. This seems like the same crappy quality and itchy material of those cheap Amazon dresses Ive ordered in the past. My daughters Flower Girl dress arrived unfinished with raw hems and pleats that were never sewn together, leaving open holes in the back. . They offered me $10 to help pay for alterations. LOL. Alterations? I paid $85 for an unfinished dress! It's going to cost much more than $10 for it to be finished! What a joke this company is!

I truly wish Etsy would take down their shop as they are NOT handmade from a small shop. I tried to report them but never heard back from Etsy. Maybe you guys can report them too?? It's such a scam business.... so sorry you guys went through the same thing. Especially for such an important occasion! Hopefully our posts will help to warn off others. That's the whole reason I wrote about them in the first place.

I just got my bridesmaid dress from there and had a totally great experience. I was worried because I am
plus size with some different measurements, but, I ordered custom and the dress fits me and my shape really well. It’s great quality - especially for the price. So I would have to say that my experience has been really great and I wouldn’t hesitate to go with them again!

I’m sorry you had to deal with this. It surprises me because I just bought 2 bridesmaids dresses from them and they’re making my wedding dress. The bridesmaids dresses came out amazing and I have had a wonderful experience with customer service so far.

Have been looking at these dresses for my wedding/bridesmaids for some time now, however, have decided against it. The most frightening thing about this seems to be the lack of consistency in quality. Will be submitting a complaint to Etsy for this reason.

I ordered from Renz. Its a dress for a mini reception we are having for my fiancés family and friends as they live 20 hours from where we are having the wedding. The dress is amazing! I went with something I like, but was also going to be a bit of a challenge to see how they did, I am going to get my girls dresses from the shop. The dress fits amazing, and is great quality work for the price. I don't think you will find this kind of work from a major retailer for this price. Brides if you are looking at ordering from them give them plenty of time and alot of detail and they seem to do a great job.

I have mixed feelings. I have ordered bridesmaid dresses from them and they both came out great. Mine was a little loose but I lost weight so I just altered it but the quality was great, they contacted me right away when ordered and got the color correct . I am looking to possibly order bridesmaid dresses for my bridesmaids from them. I have seen a lot of negative comments but I honestly think it is only the dresses with tulle, becuase tulle is usually cheaply looking unless super expensive so maybe avoid those dresses?

This is absolutely NOT the experience we had. We received a custom fit dress within 2 weeks that is perfect.

Completely different experience. Pandemic wedding last year. Ordered dresses at the end of March and arrived in time for early June wedding. Don’t think that would have happened if from China as everything was shut down. They were gorgeous and no problems what so ever. Always responded promptly to my questions. Definitely would order again.

Wish we would have found this before ordering!

My fiancee wore one of their bridesmaids dresses in a wedding and everything about the experience was positive- she didn't even need to alter the dress! Now for our wedding, needing to send our bridesmaids somewhere accessible to everyone while they're scattered across the country, online seemed logical and my fiancee jumped on recommending Renz and since she had had such a great experience prior, we didn't even try to vet.

Big mistake.

We now know why they no longer have an Etsy shop- just by reading these comments we can see they either pulled it or got shut down because of negative reviews.

And we now are in a bind because wedding is approaching, three of our maids have their dresses, which all need altering, but the other five AND the flower girls- somehow ALL of their dresses have "gotten lost in shipping" and their solution is 30% anything off the rack. B- if I wanted off the rack, I'd have gone to NORDSTROM RACK these are supposedly custom made dresses pfftt also, just expedite a new order for us? As a BUSINESS OWNER you should be doing everything in your power to make it right also surprise surprise the shipment got lost coming from Mexico. Oh! They outsource????? No one said anything about that. Sure seemed like a mom and pop business in Cali. Also, whatever new dresses we do end up with won't match the three already delivered so now my photos are awful as well.

I feel like her mindset is pfft it's the wedding industry I can take the money and run you only (usually) get married big once. But I think she doesn't know about reviews maybe? Or is that why I can't find them on Google Reviews, because she knows she's garbage so doesn't want to make it easy to be outted as a fraud.

PS- gosh, there's so much and I know I'm still leaving out but also, the orders were placed over a two week period IN DECEMBER! It is now February and the bulk of the order is just now being shipped and getting lost? Also, the FIRST order placed way ahead of the others was in the lost shipment that just now got lost while three of the dresses ordered way after were delivered weeks ago.

I know stuff gets lost but there are A LOT of complaints about that here and it shouldn't be THAT common, which is really making me think that maybe the dresses never existed in the first place. There is another post here that mentioned there's no way they're churning out that many custom dresses in a month, and (well, "they" are not, but sentiment noted) if they're not actually making them and then waiting to declare them "lost" after it's too late to make a new order, AND THEN offering 30% well gee, that sure sounds like a great way to save money. Sure sounds like a(n illegal) BAIT AND SWITCH SCHEME to me!
