Hi Ladies,
Our initial wedding was planned for last August 2020. We chose to cancel the wedding due to covid, but still got married on that day. I wore a very pretty ivory midi dress (instead of my original wedding gown), he wore a suit, and our Pastor married us with just my parents in attendance as witnesses. We are now having our "Celebration of Marriage". Everyone knows we're married, but our ceremony will follow more of a vow renewal format. It will be at new venue, have a new look (including new wedding gown), and new meaning for us. The only thing I struggle with is whether or not to wear a veil. I never wanted to wear a long veil with my original wedding gown, but I think a birdcage veil will give me that extra pop for my new wedding gown (it's less detailed than the first, but more elegant).
However, I'm curious to know your thoughts - is a veil of any sort weird when you're already married? It feels a little awkward, but given that many friends and family are happy for us and coming to support us (regardless of us being married), I guess I shouldn't worry about it.
