Hey loves! So I’ve been on the Loryna birth control pill for about 6 months and I hate it so much it’s been making me crazy and extremely hormonal. So, I’m switching to the Kyleena IUD next week. My doctor said good things about it so I think it’ll be a better option. I’m a little nervous about it...

My doctor said good things about it so I think it’ll be a better option. I’m a little nervous about it because I’m 100 days out from the wedding but I’m hoping for the best. Anyone on the Kyleena IUD?

I was on the pill for 6 years, then had the Nexplanon implant for 4 years (3 years for the first one and the replaced. I only had the replacement for a year because i was CONSTANTLY bleeding once it was placed), and now I’ve had the Mirena IUD for almost three years. I. Love. My IUD. No weight gain. No hormone swings. No period. No acne issues. Nothing.

I have liletta (3 year IUD) and surprisingly like it. I had cramping the first week and my first period. After a month my periods were lighter then after a few months I stopped having periods.
I've had nexplanon twice. The first time no issues, second time gained 20 pounds in a month and had sever mood swings.

Hopefully your IUD works well for you. I had a mirena for a couple months and had way to many problems. I was bleeding constantly when I had it and it ended up preferating part of my uterine wall.

I have the Skyla (no babies) and I don’t have any complaints! It’s lighted my periods dramatically, which is good because I used to have to miss school or work due to pain. I always forgot my pills so not having to worry about it for 3-5 years is great.
The only thing is I’ve gained weight, but I also quit my job around the same time so idk if that’s related.
