Birthday bachelorette?

Happilee, on August 25, 2019 at 12:17 AM Posted in Parties and Events 0 11
Hey everyone!
My birthday is the first week of March and my wedding the first week of April. I was thinking of doing a birthday bachelorette.

The point would be to celebrate my 30th and my wedding with all my best friends. I just don't want people to think I'm asking for extra gifts or attention.

Thoughts?

I think that should be up to whoever is hosting the party.

I don't think it comes off as gift-grabby! A birthday bachelorette sounds like a great idea to me

My Sister is my MOH and she has asked me for ideas, what I like, etc. Some people prefer a surprise but I'm happy to work with her!

Given the timing, I agree combining the two is a great idea, but the invitation should come from your sister/MOH (or someone else who is "hosting"). It would be much better in terms of etiquette, and she can clarify that gifts aren't necessary. "Join us for a double-celebration of 'Happilee's' bachelorette and 30th birthday on _________ at _______! Your being there is the only 'gift' she'll care about!"

I'm doing the exact same thing! We're combining my 30th birthday/shower/bachelorette in one weekend.

This sounds great! When combining all of the events into one, do you change who you invite or are you only inviting ladies to the event?

My shower in the morning will have all of my girlfriends and some local family members.
Then for my bachelorette at night, it will be just me and my bridesmaids.
