Oh I think black and white wedding look so beautiful! I think you should really go for it! The ones I've seen the flowers are red and it looks so good because the red pops out at you and looks so good with the black and white! I really hope you do this and I think red would look awesome!!!!!!! Get on David's Bridal's website and they have a thing where you can sort of make you wedding on the site so see how everything would look I think you should go to that website and put in those colors and see what you think. Hope this helps!

    Congrats!

As a photographer a black and white wedding can be very beautiful but it is nice to have a nice color accent. Think about all the family/wedding party photos that will pop with some color.

Black and White is such an elegant combination. You would be perfectly fine with just black and white and use a variety of sizes and textures of flowers in those two colors, or you could pick one color to use as your accent. You will need to take into consideration the season before you pick a particular flower though to use as your accent flower because some flowers are not available all year. Good Luck and Congratulations

We feature a great favor or dessert table addition for a black and white wedding theme. A Black and White Cookie freshly baked in New York. The cookies are 5" round and are individually wrapped. You can request no label and then make up your own label. Reasonably priced too! You can purchase as little as 2 dozen but if over 5 dozen is purchased you get a discount. We also feature chocolate covered espresso beans and sell in bulk. Try our Black Tie mix. Dark and White chocolate covered espresso beans. You can put them in boxes or cups. Truly a gourmet treat!

Congrats Keia on your upcoming wedding.

In my opinion, red or fuchsia is what will bring this color combination to life. You can throw this accent color not only in flowers, but also in other areas to help bring a splash of color to your wedding.

We currently offer custom matted invitations where we can add your accent color to a black pocket invite. We also carry a black/white color combo and a red/black color combo in pillows,. baskets, garters, guestbooks, pen sets, etc. Visit us on line at www.CelebrateLikeNeverBefore.com and go to our store and click on Collections/ensembles to see our product line of color combo accessories. This will also give you an idea of how black and red work very well together.

    Keia,

Black and White weddings can be really stunning. Especially when the photographer shoots in Black and White, in camera (tech talk). IF you can, try and find some accent color or at least a really nice mid-Grey color that will help create contrast within the room and decorations. Too much black will also overwhelm the light colors or tones, and make your wedding look a bit dark and dreary. Not the message you want to send in your imagery. Be sure to remember that using lights (ex:X-mas tree LED's) help create contrast without adding color to a B&W themed wedding. Feel free to visit my website for more helpful hints.

    Congratulations!

Black and white are certainly a fabulous choice. They are two colors that work very well together and adding a touch of RED will only make it even more glamourous!!!! As a wedding decorator I have noticed alot of my clients this year have selected these colors.

Hello, We have catered black & white events in the past and yes, It seems to have worked perfectly by adding colorful or exotic flower arrangements to enhance the black & white theme. Just make sure the quality of the materials you use area good with an elegant look, and don't get go overboard with Too many colors in your floral arrangement. Consistancy is always good to keep your look even and not too busy or crowded!

A black and white wedding can be very elegant, but if you do decided to use a accent color try looking at your lighting and table decor at the reception for this accent color to come into play. A nice pretty color added just under your table decorations/flowers or accent at the wall of the reception hall can add that special something without taking away from the black and white theme.

Black and white theme is fantastic! We have done several over the last couple of years. One we did was all white centerpieces of mixed flowers: gardenia, roses, phael. orchids on tables dressed with black linens, very classy and then another had red accents using James storrie orchids. Both looked great.

Black (deep burgundy) flowers: Dahlia, calla, black bacarra roses, cymbidium orchids, burgundy scabiosa, also succulents and fern fronds.

    Hope this helps!

I have some very beauiful black and white or ivory invitations that you may be interest in. If you do choose an accent color, we can easily add it to any of my designs by adding swarovski crystals, colored ink, colored cardstock or metallic cardstock.

I would be more than happy to create a custom invitation for your event as well. Please contact me.

You ladies have given some great comments and i will definitely be taking some into consideration myself. if loved the idea of a black and white wedding for as long as I can remember and i am truly thinking of a burgundy as my accent colors but my FH doesn't want the BM's to have black dresses or does anyone think I should go for the white dresses with black or burgundy as an accent color on the trim?

Help! I am getting married on Saturday, March 20 and the venue we chose has a warm, cozy feeling but the flooring and such is a bit "loud" for my tastes...I don't want to compete with it so I chose a black & white color scheme...not wanting it to feel "too stuffy and formal" I added in polka dots (which make it fun and carefree)...but now I'm doubting myself...and could desperately use some advice! Thank YOU!!!
