Hi, My fiancé and I have been searching for some black-owned bridal shops to purchase gifts for our parties. Any suggestions? We would prefer Etsy, but individual websites are fine as well.

I specifically searched for a black photographer, DJ, and makeup artist I can find in my city. I feel no ways about doing so.

You go through your most recent bridal magazines and you count how many black people you see. Go on your photographers site and you count how many black couples they have in their portfolio. Go on your MUA gallery and you count how many black brides he or she has. There is a big misrepresentation in the bridal world that some do not want to understand because if they do not experience it then it doesn't exist. I support all communities daily but I am choosing for my wedding to support minority communities that do not get the opportunity to shine every day

EDIT: you can replace black with any other minority group you want and the result would still be the same
