Definitely cocktail attire. Black tie is too much work! And too much to expect from guests. I want everyone to be comfortable

Cocktail attire for the guests. I've never heard of anyone in our area having a black tie wedding.

Cocktail attire/semi-formal, but the wedding party and our families were more formal (long dresses and suits). Personally, I think it is almost always appropriate to wear a suit to a wedding, regardless of how causal it is. Most of the weddings we go to are semi-formal/cocktail attire and men are usually wearing suits.

We had cocktail attire, more specifically beach formal, since we got married at the beach.

Are you hosting a black tie wedding (valet service, table side ordering, top shelf open bar, live multi-piece band, starting at 6 pm or later, and a whole host of other exceptions)? This reaction feels pretty over the top.

Cocktail attire is "casual" in the sense that it is short dresses and suits as opposed to tuxes and formal gowns. It isn't "casual" like tennis shoes and jeans.

Cocktail attire. It wont be formal but still elegant, no jeans or t-shirts.

We're going for the upscale backyard bbq vibe so definitely more relaxed. We want our wedding to be about making memories and having fun with our families and they means being comfortable too

Dress casual. neither one of us is fancy so not going to pretend to be just for our WEDDING plus the groom and groomsmen will be in black jeans so might as well let out gue s wear nice jeans and be comfortable if they want.

We’re more relaxed, cocktail attire for the bridal party and although cocktail attire is preferred for guests, it’s not necessary. We just want everyone to be comfortable!

Between the choices, cocktail, but honestly probably a lil more relaxed than that.

Cocktail attire. We aren't very fancy people. I told everyone to wear something nice and we are encouraging nice hats.
